Should be the same for US : Shipping and handling to Canada depends on weight: Within 2 kg it is Euro 22,-, from 2 kg to 20 kg it is Euro 32,-. If the weight is higher than 20 kg, the costs are billed the same form thze beginning BTW They still have Basie Mosaic : 8 cds for 49,99 euros Good luck My bad, I posted to the wrong thread, they do indeed take credit cards.

    Well, that's what I was told by my high-end audio dealer. Just thought I'd mention it here. O.K., did your dealer offer some information as to where and what the dangers are? Yes he did, but I don't remember (I'm not that technical). If people are unsure about all this I'd suggest they check with their dealers first.

    Are you talking about the CD side or the DVD side? I always figured the CD side of a DualDisc would play on any CD player; is that not correct? Apparently not, it seems they might be harmful to some CD players; that's why audio gear manufacturers like Mark Levinson and Marantz are warning against dualdiscs.

    Check out this album: Red Mitchell - Presenting Red Mitchell - Contemporary/OJC It has some nice James Clay on both tenor saxophone and flute. It's also one of Billy Higgins' first recording sessions.

    I think you'd better check if your player does accept/play dualdiscs before you pick up any. I've heard several reports about problems and damage caused by dualdiscs, but haven't had any experience with them myself. Edited to correct a spelling error.

    I have the original CDs of Talking Heads: 77 and More Songs about Buildings and Food and don't intend to "upgrade". Besides, I have a Mark Levinson CD transport and signal processor and ML advised not to play dualdiscs, since these might cause severe damage.

    RVGs seem to be selling better, compression and all... Interestingly enough, a digital engineer I know said there was SERIOUS compression going on on the TOCJ series of discs, 16 and 20 bit. I'm not so sure about that, it should be audible if there was any serious compression (no dynamics) and it isn't. The sound waves I've seen of many TOCJs look OK, too.

    Bol, have not been to Amsterdam in a long time. But I can recommend one store 'Record Palace'. It's located at Weteringschans 33 in central Amsterdam. It's opposite Paradiso! Phone is (020) 6223904. People from the store have come to Paris off and on for record conventions and I have purchased from them. They have pretty reasonable prices and have quite a number of Dutch jazz albums. Their international number is +31206223904, from the U.K. it's 0031206223904.
