That Pinnock set has great "period" performances, though I always found the complete symphonies a bit much...
In addition to Chuck's Golden Quartet recommendations I can recommend his 1979 ECM album, Divine Love, with Lester Bowie, Kenny Wheeler, Dwight Andrews, Bobby Naughton, and Charlie Haden. It's still available in Europe.
Didn't Sony release the two "original" Blackhawk CDs as single-layer SACDs? If they did, I'd be surprised if they'd release this new box as hybrid SACDs...
