Strange thing: Mosaic charged my card when I placed my order (Bix et al.) 2 weeks ago but they shipped only yesterday. In the past, they only charged upon shipment. Did you have similar experience? No big deal, but...

Mine is #7442 and arrived today (ordered and shipped a month ago). No customs paid (after all we not famous for our efficient public servants here in Greece and the declared value did not justify any customs charging)...

Curious to know what the postage is on a haul like that? Must be a small fortune... When the sets finally reach Belgium, the buyer probably also will have to fork out a small fortune on tax/duty and fees. Hello From Greece! Since we are (still...:-))) in the EU we are treated the same way as Belgium. The postage costs depends on the value of the items purchased from Mosaic. Approx 20-40 USD. With some arrangement with the previous logistics configuration I managed not to pay any taxes which amount approx to 25% of the declared value. Now this changed and I am waiting eagerly to see what will happen with the Mobley set I ordered 3 weeks ago.

I listened this morning the initial tracks of the 1943 concert. What great music and performers; you immediately forget any remastering issues whatsoever! Attack!

Mine also arrived from jpc in Germany for 23 Euro. It is, as you can see also from the photos already provided by other poster in this thread, a local release by the Italian branch of Universal! I agree. The other LP on the twofer, "Do you know the way to San Jose" is a good bit better. But "Soul food" and "Chicken & Dumplin's" kick the ass of all other Timmons LPs. MG Many thanks for all your responses!

Indeed! We had the chance to have him and the "Dear Miles" set in 2008 in Athens, Greece. Two photos from the concert are attached. 2008/09 was very jazzy in Athens: in 4 months we had Hancock, Shorter, Carter, Al Foster and Corea/McLaughlin Peace Band. Happy Birthday Mr. Carter! Alex

Dear friends I shall highly appreciate if you could recommend me jazz recordings by artists of newer generations. I am in a Ron Carter mood lately and try to purchase his post 1995 recordings (of which 90% is either deleted or only from japan). From the ones I found I was amazed by the playing, apart from Mr Carter's, of "younger" artists such as Russell Malone, Mulgrew Miller, Stephen Scott. So, I shall be very happy to discover more recordings by them or featuring them and other names of these generations. Many thanks! Alex

I like this Cd very much and I am very fond of the Funkallero that opens it!! I managed to find an excellent used copy at e-bay a year ago for about $15.-- after loosing several auctions that ended far above than 50 to 60 dollars. Happy that this has been finally re-issued Best Alex
