  1. How much if this ground was covered by this? https://www.discogs.com/Miles-Davis-Stan-Getz-Gerry-Mulligan-Lee-Konitz-Sonny-Rollins-Zoot-Sims-Conception/release/7953012 I’m thinking none, but there is that additional duet at the end - not with Miles. Someone tell Fresh Sounds!
  2. Not sure I’d want to be in the control group on that one...
  3. So the other boxes are all metal spine? Certainly looks like it...

  5. That seems to be the wrong link! This one maybe: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/record-stores-coronavirus-pandemic-973887/amp/
  6. Do check out the LSO concerts. They are up for a very short time after live-streaming - the Stravinsky is still there at the moment of writing and is rather wonderful. All three Diaghilev ballets... https://lso.co.uk/whats-on/2019-20-season/alwaysplaying.html
  7. Full disclosure. I only bought cheap seats!
  8. Like Felser, my concertising is reduced for family reasons, but maybe unlike John not set to zero. Or it wasn’t until now. My favorite orchestra (LSO) is live-streaming archived performances twice a week. Heard a superb Stravinsky with Rattle last night. The sometimes superb local improv scene (Free Range) has a suitably experimental YouTube offering. The Cathedral can’t offer its choir but alongside streamed services there are smatterings of organ music. Re. cancelled concert subscriptions, I’m donating mine. It’s the first option in the drop-down and, well, they sort of shamed me..,
  9. They don’t mind asking them to work in a building that could fall on their heads if an angry customer slams the door... 😉
  10. I listened to a concert on BBC Radio 3 the other evening. While they often broadcast a live or recorded concert, this was a repeat of a concert from last year to fill the slot of a live concert that could not take place. I listened rapt to every note, which seemed seized from a past which will not come back for some time - orchestra and audience, so many bodies and minds in one place. What have been your moods and thoughts on music in the time of COVID?
  11. Jim, are you sure that keeping you at home isn’t, well, an elaborate hoax? 😉
  12. Oh! I didn’t know any of that. Thank you.
  13. Do you mean that pressing plants have closed recently? I didn’t realise. I read that the few pressing plants in existence were maxed out. Hmmm.
  14. Here, I can get May 5th down to April 30th if I take out Prime. Now there’s an incentive...
  15. In their FAQ here they mention that items to enable working from home are among those prioritised. Similarly I was able to get some items for the home by next day delivery.
  16. Can’t see the pics but...big big find!
  17. So in the UK I am been quoted delivery dates of May 5 for books CDs LPs. How is it where you are? They say they are prioritising other kinds of items.
  18. So just what did the aliens do to you during the abduction? Oh and how was the probe?
  19. You’re breaking my heart...
  20. For those who like a good OST - from The Secret Life of Pets 2 - with a few jazzers on board... PS If you think you hear a touch of the Maynard Ferguson’s in there, that would be Wayne Bergeron and Alex Iles - former Maynardites. Pete Erskine is the drummer.
  21. Not. And if you can smell them you might be too close.
