  1. How much are those bass pedals actually useful?
  2. It was obviously out for garbage bub! Let's both try and think before we speak/write.
  3. No kidding. My dad might get a hold of a van to bring it back to the house, to see what's up with it.
  4. Exactly! it was basically a piece of shit, but I wanted to at least get it home and check it out.
  5. I have passed an old organ out on someone's front lawn on the way to classes everyday for the past two weeks. Thinking it would be gone with every day, I finally got my dad to go take me and get a look at it. I don't what it was. It had a some pedals toward the left end, it didn't go all the way from each side of the bottom of the organ. It basically looked like your average hammond. Looked kind of beaten up. Mooving it, the board to cover the electrical wiring came off. What are the odds this thing works? PS We didn't take it. We could hardly carry it.
  6. It is way to soon to make any permenent opinions on the Pat Metheny release. You have to listen with an open mind, and being a Metheny fan for a long time, you should know that. It took me a while to dig a lot of Metheny albums, especially his 1980's albums. His more recent have been easier to dig. I am despirately wanting the new release.

Sorry. That album starts out with two good tracks. Check out the last track for some hot playing.
  8. My mom thought we were playing an actual see-dee during the playback. The drummer who I have a had a big problem with liking good music, , said something good to me at the end of the session. "It's not too jazzy, its just bluesy, and funky and progressive." I liked it, although it was a little sloppy. We did every song twice. Once to practice then another time to record. We both agreed it was better the first we did it. So once we get it tight, and we find a studio, I'm ready to start recording for real.
  9. Jim, you along with Neal Evans have been my main influence tonight. I was practicing with my band tonight. We recorded four tracks. The first one was funky, and the other three were very bluesy and we got so into it. I have it on tape and we have been very happy with it. We have ourself a little website and I just up-dated it, I have been real jazzed.
  10. No, its sitting on the basement floor. He would never part with his reciever. Mine has so little power, i need that reciever! I friken need a whole new reciever, speakers, tape deck, and cd player! Feel free to send money to P.O. Box 914, 2027.
  11. Don't tell anyone, Sunshine of Your Love is about a hooker. Let's ban it!
  12. When's the cd coming out?
  13. I got a reciever from someone's garbage once, but my dad didn't let me use it because it was tubes. I guess I was just not ready for tubes.
  14. I heard them. It was good.
  15. Harder? I dont think so. Same finguring right? Has to be. IN school the teacher picks the advanced clarinet players to try bass clarinet. It couldn't of been that much of a jump.
  16. I guess most people don't stay for both sets?
  17. Bill Smith! You can actually hear some radical clarinet playing with Dave Brubeck on his more recent, (circa 1985) quartets with his son Chris on bass.
  18. How do you like Soulive?
  19. Maybe its time to buy the Organissimo album!
  20. Check out Buddy De Franco.
  21. It was too hard.
  22. Allright heard some Goldings samples! Love it! How does Borders do with stocking his cd's?
  23. Isn't John Abercrombie a guitarist? Think organ players. I really have no clue what to look for. I know what I want, but don't know the first place to look.
