  1. You make this post: in a thread titled Worst Albums, which you started, so I assume you understand the premise. How is that not saying you consider GO one of the worst? I didn't mean it as THE WORST. I stated Go, then explained why I never dug it. I guess I should of been more specific, and it's my bad. But, now you know. I dont think of it as one of THE WORST BN's. See what kind of trouble you get into when you cut school for the day? Couldn't tell ya. Didnt cut school today.
  2. no indication of that on the album or the jacket. This is on the Czech Supraphon label, SUC 15146, my guess is early 60s. Than niether 737 or 727. Probaly either a 707 or Constelation. Or maybe a Dc-8, or Convair 880.

  4. Didn't he record all his albums with the guitar first, than with the piano?
  5. I mean this stuff is wierd, how it all works. For some reason I just don't dig it. I think the album was a little bit too over-mojulated. Billy Higgins's rivet cymbol is too close to the mic. It gets very crackly. That has been known to happen on a lot of BN albums. Such as Tina Brooks' Waiting Game.
  6. I'll back anything he says. And he's been around pretty damn long.

    Red Norvo

Here it is .... a fine, chamber jazz album ... with Bill Smith (clarinet), Barney Kessell, Buddy Collette, Red Mitchell, and Shelly Manne ... OJC 1015 (Contemporary 7534) That's it! i'm considering purchasing that one!
  8. I know. I always said I hate when these new pop singers do that. But then I heard George Benson doing it 30 years ago, and I actually liked it.
  9. Oh, I wasn't putting it in the worst category. I said I didn't really enjoy it.
  10. somehow, I know how you feel!
  11. not yet. -_-
  12. I used to buy a cd a week. Somehow that stopped.
  13. I dont have anything except jazz. Maybe a couple rock and roll stuff, but only from when I was real real young before I got into jazz.
  14. Reminds me of my grandmother. "You know, Andrea Bocceli has a new record out now."
  15. It's a wonder they know what you're talking about when somebody says, "Why am I keep repeating myself. I sound like a broken record!" You would think they would of changed it to, 'skipping cd' by now.
  16. Go, by the Dex. I like the melody of Cheese Cake, but not the version they play on the record. I like the rendition of Love For Sale, but that's about it. 'Dexter Calling' is so much better.
  17. I think we'll all understand if you don't know what a record is Rod --- Now playing: Can - Halleluhwah Whatever that means, counting my vinyls I probaly got about 200. About 100 cd's and a 100 vinyls, I'm not really sure.
  18. Do you mean like when they take the note all over the place, instead of just keeping the note steady? I know what you mean, I hate that.
  19. Just cd's?
  20. If he likes Linkin Park now, he'll probaly still like it 20 years from now. But just getting him to respect jazz and now what his roots are, that's just as good.
  21. It's on tonight. I want a full page summary of it by tomorrow!
  22. What year are we talking? I dont know the album. 737's and 727's weren't around that much yet in the 60's.
