I came across it just one time in a brick/mortar situation. Was pretty sure I had everything on it, and walked away with no regrets. $70+ is just plain silly.

  5. Always dug his playing, and his beautiful and distinctive tone. Some favorites... Spellbound (Riverside) Bearcat (Jazzland) Royal Ballads; Two Tenor Winner (Criss Cross) The Adventurer (Muse) Cliff Craft; Blowing In From Chicago (BN) Live At Ethell's (Mapleshade) Repetition (Soul Note) Expoobident; Here's Lee Morgan (Vee Jay) A Story Tale (Jazzland, with Sonny Red) More good CJ discussion here:

OK, support for my complaint today about the board's search function. Let's face it, guys, it sux. IPB, are you listening? This really isn't difficult... Step 1: (Use Advanced Search)... Click on the "gear" icon to the right of the green magnifying glass icon to the right of the search box in the upper right corner of the page. Step 2: Type Grant Green in the "Find words" field Step 3: Select "Only search in titles" from the dropdown menu to the right of "Match" Step 4: Click "Search Now" (if you want plenty of results, no need to select the Artists forum... search all forums is the default setting). Obviously, there are even more filters to choose from if need be. Step 5: You can sort the results (in this case, 67 threads) by the number of replies by clicking on "Replies" in the heading at the top of the list.

  8. I tried it yesterday (using advanced search, and selecting "only search in titles"), and it popped up at the top for me also. If you're not using advanced search, you're handcuffing yourself. Then again, that ain't always perfect either, and I sometimes use Google also, for difficult searches.

  10. Thank you for posting this. I'm particularly fond of the G.N.P. LP and EP covers. Slight tangent, but the face on this this cover (which I hadn't seen in awhile) reminded me of an old cartoon montage. Part of an intro, perhaps, although for what I'm not sure (Rocky & Bullwinkle? Fractured Fairy Tales? Something from that era, I think). If anybody knows what I'm referring to, please put me out of my misery.

  13. DL for me, please.

  15. Dan, do you know if there are lyrics for this tune?
