  1. 1960, Curtis Fuller - Images of Curtis Fuller (Savoy) 1963, Lou Donaldson records for Blue Note (A Man With A Horn) 1966, Eddie Harris records for Atlantic (Mean Greens) 1973, Stanley Turrentine records for CTI (Don't Mess with Mr T)
  2. the booklet of my 1995 CD release mentions June 4, I see Dave Wild has June 7. Which is correct?
  3. it seems you've nailed it. Skewed logic is a major part of the Lonehill series it seems. Still, releasing Verve sides that did not yet have their 50th birthday seems very odd.
  4. so it's the four "bonus tracks" that elude. Jim Hall is hopefully involved somewhere, so it must be with these. 14. You're Driving Me Crazy (Bonus Track) 15. You're Clear Out Of This World (Bonus Track) 16. More I See You (Bonus Track) 17. You Are Too Beautiful (Bonus Track)
  5. Jim Beam of course
  6. his profile says he has been lurking here today
  7. you better get "that hipnosis thing" through a private seller
  8. the BN disk is still readily available it seems. Even in Tony's neck of the woods
  9. the Little/Roach is still available on Capitol/Blue Note with a couple of additional live tracks. The Little & Friend is originally on Bethlehem and has been out there on CD as well. It includes some alternates not on the Lonehill.
  10. 1945, Diz & Bird & Norvo record for Dial/Spotlite 1958, Dinah Washington Sings some Bessie Smith for EmArcy 1966, Ornette Coleman - The Empty Foxhole (Blue Note) 1966, Albert Mangelsdorff - Now Jazz Ramwong (CBS), ctd the next day 1975, Zoot Sims and the Gershwin Brothers (Pablo)
  11. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to fix that. ← it is strange, I just noticed something similar happened on the Media page at the left hand side of the grey fields, just above each of the CD covers (and not below!)
  12. yup
  13. It would not work for me by directly clicking on it as tripod does not allow for deeplinking. Copying the address from the link you posted into the address bar leads there without problems though. You yourself can click the link as you posted it there. Don't know the finesse of it, but I have had similar problems with linking to tripod. So, no problem, just a little detour. Though the tune sounds familiar, I cannot put a title on it either.
  14. Direct clicking on that link may not work here. Try copy-paste the link into the address field.
  15. June 4: 1954, Barney Kessel - Plays Standards (Contemporary) 1957, Jack Diéval - Jazz aux Champs-Elysées (Polydor) 1961, John Coltrane - Africa Brass, second session (Impulse!) 1966, Donald Byrd - Mustang (Blue Note) June 4/5: 1957, Gustav Brom records for Supraphon 1975, Dizzy Gillespie - Afro-Cuban Jazz Moods (Pablo) June 5: 1947, Dexter Gordon records for Savoy 1956, Tal Farlow - Tal (Verve) 1962, Bill Evans records for Riverside (released on Moon Beams, How My Heart Sings) 1978, Archie Shepp & Dollar Brand - Duet (Denon)
  16. It could use a tad more periwinkle, but otherwise it looks great! Seriously, great job! I like the pastel-Mondrian approach here. Some minor things and suggestions: - the main navigation bar changes when you leave the "home" section. I understand you do not want a link to "home" on your splashpage, but also was a bit confused as I was clicking through the pages and clicked on the first link ("about"), then on the second link, which was suddenly also "about"! Maybe change the upper bar with the logo and the bandname to a link and put a second link to "home" at the bottom with the copyright line. - in IE the text on Boogaloo Sisters on the Media page runs across the purple divider (not so in Opera). - on the photo page links to pics 8 and 9 are exchanged: click on Randy and get Johnny, click on Johnny and get Randy - may I suggest you change the titles of the pages to "Organissimo - photos", "Organissimo - press", etc., instead of just "photos", "press",... - maybe put a coloured bar underneath each of the pics on the bio page to weigh out the empty grey. - the fields on the home page are not aligned to the left. The "Board Statistics" field is one pixel less wide. - the fields on the press page are not aligned at the top: the white field reaches one pixel further up Enough complaining, I need to watch me some videos now!
  17. use Opera and zoom in to 1000% on any page, graphics included.
