  3. I don't know about the lady, but isn't the guy Chuck Nessa circa 1936?
  4. And Moyer rejected a offer to send him from the M's to the Yank's (10 and 5 player). Looks like even the geriatric pitchers don't want anything to do with NY these days.
  5. Enumclaw-area animal-sex case investigated By Jennifer Sullivan Seattle Times staff reporter King County sheriff's detectives are investigating the owners of an Enumclaw-area farm after a Seattle man died from injuries sustained while having sex with a horse boarded on the property. Investigators first learned of the farm after the man died at Enumclaw Community Hospital July 2. The county Medical Examiner's Office ruled that the death was accidental and the result of having sex with a horse. A surveillance camera picked up the license plate of the car that dropped the man off at the hospital, which led detectives to the farm and other people involved, said sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart. Deputies don't believe a crime occurred because bestiality is not illegal in Washington state and the horse was uninjured, said Urquhart. But because investigators found chickens, goats and sheep on the property, they are looking into whether animal cruelty — which is a crime — was committed by having sex with these smaller, weaker animals, he said. The farm was talked about in Internet chat rooms as a destination for people looking to have sex with livestock, he said. "A significant number of people, we believe, have likely visited this farm," said Urquhart. The Humane Society of the United States intends to use the case during the next state legislative session as an example of why sex with animals should be outlawed in Washington, said Bob Reder, a Humane Society regional director in Seattle. "This and a few other cases that we have will allow us a platform to talk about sex abuse of animals," Reder said. Thirty-three states ban sex with animals, he said. Susan Michaels, co-founder of local animal-rights organization Pasado's Safe Haven, said she has been fighting to have bestiality made illegal. "It's animal cruelty behind closed doors," Michaels said.
  6. Throw in a little LSD and it all makes sense.
  7. Soul Stream, I meant to tell ya' before.....It was me. Sorry for any inconvenience.
  8. Happy Birthday Lon!!!
  9. How about the Mariners taking the lead in the wild card race?
  10. This is the final season and there is still three more episodes. So there may be more surprises to come.
  11. Conrad, My condolences to you in this very sad and reflective time. I quit smoking when my son was born 6 months ago, and your post has strengthened my resolve to keep it that way. My thoughts are with you and your family. -john
  12. It's hot down there...in more ways than one.
  13. I actually don't know for sure, but it did appear that way at the end of the last episode. We'll have to find out next week. Sorry if I gave away too much to anyone.
  14. Who cares?? I watched the first two episodes of this new season, and I can't take it anymore. Horrible writing, annoying characters, and ridiculous plot lines. Whatever magic this show had initially is long gone. ← I disagree. The last couple episodes (that you obviously missed) were very VERY good. I think Nate is dead.
  15. My prediction: embittered Mariners fans start whining about teams that are winning. Big Al is right. This is our year. Losers? Sheesh, you hatin' types are starting to grasp at straws. ← Cut me some slack Paul, I got nothin' else but to bitch...the M's are making me wanna wretch. No doubt the White Sox are 100X better than the M's, but face facts - the Central is a weak division which means you play weaker teams more than having to constantly play the Yankees & Orioles. No one thought the White Sox would be this good going into the season (and quite frankly I'm still not sure why they are) so I think they are in for a fall since their schedule is going to getting a lot tougher in the coming weeks. Furthermore, I know from personal experience that Freddie Garcia is a head case that breaks under pressure.
  16. My prediction: White Sox collapse, barely winning division over surging Twins. Red Sox take the East with Schilling in the rotation and a trade or two at the deadline that takes them over the top. The White Sox just look like a bunch of losers playing over their head.
  17. I prefer "This Land is Your Land" myself.
  18. A's sweep Rangers, grab share of wild-card lead Texas lost its fifth straight and fell to 2-9 since the All-Star break, completing a 1-6 homestand. The Rangers, who've dropped seven of eight to the A's since the break, dipped under .500 (48-49) for the first time since they were 13-14 on May 2. I see what you're sayin' about the Rangers Al. That must hurt.
