  1. Sure they are, you just have to be creative.
  2. Still doesn't change the fact that the ps2 doesn't have as much vram as the Dreamcast, pal. There are other tech flaws that can be pointed out too. Sony didn't care much about the design aspect because they knew they could release a second-rate console and still profit from it. And they did. Funny you should mention Guilty Gear X, Marvel vs Capcom, SNK vs Capcom, all of which were playable in their arcade perfect glory on the Dreamcast before the ps2 was even released.
  3. Technology-wise the ps2 is a relic compared to the xbox or the gamecube. Hell even the Dreamcast has more video memory than the ps2! The only reason it's still competing is because people are stuck with the brand. Sure the ps2 has many games, but the replayability on those games is very low or nonexistant. Also, a dvd player isn't going to make a better console. That only impacts the pricetag, not the potential of the system or the quality of the software. I guess I'm more into games than gimmicks.
  4. Yeah I've used one, also had many of those classic games on the Commode 64, THE gaming computer for the day.
  5. OOh wow, a thread about games. How nice. I myself am a gamer, the name on the console isn't as important as the games. If you've decided you absolutely NEED the dvd feature on the console then I would pick the Xbox, it is far more advanced than the ps2 and has giant 3rd party support, so the library of games present and future will always be good. It also has the best on-line approach of any of the current consoles. I have two 'next gen' systems plus many older (read: cooler) consoles. Personally if I had to pick between the Gamecube, ps2, or the Xbox, my choice would be with the 'cube. The games on it so far are unmached in quality and fun. Hey Moose I had the olskool gameboy too! I'm debating weather or not to pick up the new gameboy advance SP, damn it's slick looking. I love 2d games and shooters so it's really pulling at my wallet these days!
  6. Are you serious? The new cd is screwed up too? Ouch, burned.
  7. Fair enough, and I hope you stay too. We'll look into it.
  8. It would be useful? Already?
  9. Do I have double vision here? Edt* Ah I see, two very similar polls. Cool.
  10. OMG! smooth. If I'd bothered to click the link I'd known right away. Good one! :rsmile:
  11. Sure, but a thread about some other forums on my forum seems...redundant to me. From my perspective, naturally.
  12. Well said. Anyone mind if I slay this beast?
  13. Joy to the world, this thread is closed.
  14. I like our political forum. Users should be able to avoid it easily and still have good jazz discussion in other areas of the boards too. I'm keeping a close eye on things in there, most of the posts are relevant and to-the-topic, as long as users aren't baiting each other. People agree and disagree all the time, and being on the internet just makes it easier to tell someone off for their opinion, but that doesn't make it right.
  15. This thread is going to move! :rsmile:
  16. OKay okay you dragged it out of me. March has been the month of Acumen Nation, I've been listening to their last 3 CDs NONSTOP. Albums such as The Fifth Column, More Human Heart, and Universe. damn that band rules. The industrial grind continues with some Ministry - The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste and a little on the electronic side with Funker Vogt - We Came To Kill. I shake up this with the ever-awesome new band from Mike Patton Tomahawk. I hope to heavens that they put out a new CD this year.
  17. I can edit your posts too, but usually I'll give the user a chance to edit it first...from now on.
  18. No! I moved it. It's in the link I posted above. It's gone, because there's NO point to its existance!! Your satire is in another thread!
