Yes. It was during the time that Dennis Hopper was frequently in Taos. Hopper owned the Mabel Dodge Lujan house & a gallery called Return. There was quite a group of famous people around. We were good friends with Hopper's sister-in-law. Neil Young would show up occasionally. One artist went on to "found" Del Maguey mezcal. Got to taste some good stuff. Lots of artists like Larry Bell & Ken Price were living in Taos. Interesting times. Agnes Martin was in Taos too, but we never met her.
