  2. Meat Light From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Meat Light is a 3CD compilation of Frank Zappa's Uncle Meat recordings.[1][2][3][4][5] It is project/object #5 in a series of 40th Anniversary FZ Audio Documentaries, following MOFO (2006), Lumpy Money (2009), Greasy Love Songs (2010) and The Crux of the Biscuit (2016). The album includes the original 1969 vinyl mix of "Uncle Meat" (without the film dialogue and "Tengo Na Minchia Tanta" which were added on the CD release in 1987), followed by the originally planned sequence of the tracks (which includes different edits and a longer version of the track "Cops & Buns" from The Lost Episodes) and outtakes.
  3. This fixes the CD issue, uses the original vinyl mix:
  4. "King Kong" is awesome and Ian Underwood shines throughout the album.
  5. CD's and DVD's are more a sideline for them. Their strength is books.
  6. If anything, Daedaus was the new Hamilton. I used to order from the Hamilton catalog (printed, mailed out) 25-30 years ago. Totally reputable, sometimes have some great items, always good prices. I've had less involvement with them in the mature internet age, and they dropped me from their mailing list some years ago.
  7. But Zoot Sims said that Getz was "a bunch of swell guys".😊
  8. Certainly seems like a compatible rhythm section. I've noticed that many rejected BN sessions are because of the drummer, and they regather with a different drummer a few days/weeks later and successfully cut the same material.
  9. great album, one of my favorite of Woods (and definitely my favorite period/band of his).
  10. The CD's were identical issues of the vinyl albums. The four albums featured either musicians who were signed to BN at the time or musicials who were going to obviously sell units. Davis would not have met either of those criteria. A box set of the full performances would be nice. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Night_with_Blue_Note#One_Night_with_Blue_Note_Preserved_(LP_&_CD)
  11. What's the back story on why some, but not all, of the Transition catalog went to Blue Note, and some to Delmark later? And some, apparently, nowhere. May be common knowledge, but I don't know it. Seems especially odd that BN would have taken two of the three Donald Byrd titles, but not the third one.

Emphysema caused by intake of bad stuff to your lungs - smoking, breathing pollution or fumes, etc. As for Rollins, he is 90.
  13. That is a great Griff album.
  14. Will be glad to pick up the Landry, having completed a cursory sampling here. Look forward to the increased fidelity.

  16. Got my first Pfizer shot this morning. I'm fine so far, will see what tomorrow holds. Regardless, thankful.
