  1. I have the previous ten. This is a great series of cds, having the best performances of all his works.
  2. This just released :
  3. I think Chuck should think about having a site for his catalogue -- offering samples to listen to, or full downloads at a price. Be a lot cheaper than producing a physical disc, especially since this is the way people are getting their music nowadays. The artists can still be compensated.
  4. 30% off one item, till May 2: Borders 30% coupon
  5. Yes, I like the first disc as well. A lot of the second disc meanders around alot. This would have made for a really tight single disc issue. I like Mahanthappa's playing as well.
  6. The Frank Lowe is fantastic. Worth rebuying, because it has 15 minutes of more music that was discovered -- the original issue was edited down. Got the Zitro but haven't listened to it yet.
  7. Ahh, I wish I hadn't seen this. Ka--ching!!!!
  8. Check these out: Oh HELL yeah!!! Get them here

  10. At least this version of the Art Farmer will be legit, and in better sound.
  11. I like the 720 dunk, in the links.
  12. I have a promo of the Octavia Butler cd and it is excellent. Don't hesitate!
  13. After listening to a few minutes, I have visions of multicolored holy water with spritzers, crispy wafers with holy ghost salsa dip and day glo crucifixes.......
  14. Up, now it's May 24.
  15. Ordered Media Dreams, can't wait!

  17. Keep the ones that sound good to you. That's more important than ears or labels.
  18. Here it is: Borders 40%
  19. Al, is there a coupon floating around with the 40% discount?
  20. This: At the time, it was the only way to get all the movies to the series. But man, that Cornelius bust is hideous! It also serves as the storage case for all the dvds, though thankfully they are all enclosed in a slipcase that I have pulled out and put in my dvd library. The bust, though, sits in a box collecting dust. One of the worst packaging ideas of all time!
  21. One of my all time favorite trumpet albums. I've NEVER heard anyone match Peterson's intensity from this session.
  22. McIntosh products are VERY overrated. I once had an audiophile buddy who lent me some of their classic tube amplifiers, just for comparison to some other amps I had heard. They are not as dynamic or natural sounding; though they look pretty. My HH Scott kicks their butt for sound quality. Even the Decware amps sound better.
  23. Thanks for the suggestion! Speaking of Ari Brown, his new CD on Delmark (Live at the Green Mill) is fabulous. I wish I hadn't seen this. Ah well, I'll expect some Henry Franklin and Doug Carn in the mail this week......... )
