Alec, I MUST gloat.
Last week I found Schifrin's Dissection and Deconstruction... for $13. Sealed.
Isn't this like a $100 cd? What's under wraps? I heard it's sort of luke-warm.
I'll email you re:Lebanon paradise.
The other day I listened to Rick Rubin's interview on Fresh Air. Very interesting, very moving.
I am only slightly familiar with Cash's music and even less with the country music as a genre.
Should I just spring for the box or get a cd or two first, to test the waters?
Whats interesting about the individual Billie Holiday discs 1-4, they are not the same as from the 10-CD box set.
I would assume that Columbia would release each individual disc 1-10, identical to the 10-CD set.
Can you gentlemen shed some light on this series?
Will they duplicate all the disks from the Columbia box?
That's a good price in today's economy!
I've seen them go for $700+ on ebay in the days of yore.
LP set I've seen for $900 once or twice.
I'm saving my sealed set. It'll probably send my daughter through school in 17 years.
I thought so too, until I bought one off ebay couple of years ago. It was expensive at $40 or so, but I ended up returning it for a refund because of the seller misrepresentation. Luckily for me it had a scratch that was audible and acknowledged by the seller.
I thought the music was rather pedestrian and didn't make a copy. Maybe I should've just for reference.
Perhaps you'll find it more interesting than I did. For $5 or $7 I'd keep it.
