  1. Man, that's one great trade bait. Might not be there tomorrow.
  2. Wrote down. clem, you should do some record reviews for AMG instead of the narcissist Tom Jurek. I'd read 'em.
  3. I love that disc. In fact I'll put it on my tubes right now.
  4. Alec, I MUST gloat. Last week I found Schifrin's Dissection and Deconstruction... for $13. Sealed. Isn't this like a $100 cd? What's under wraps? I heard it's sort of luke-warm. I'll email you re:Lebanon paradise.
  5. The other day I listened to Rick Rubin's interview on Fresh Air. Very interesting, very moving. I am only slightly familiar with Cash's music and even less with the country music as a genre. Should I just spring for the box or get a cd or two first, to test the waters?
  6. Hey, ss1, thanks for posting the visual aid. I never noticed before, but who's the guy behind Duke's back, his head sticking out from atop the bar?
  7. Whats interesting about the individual Billie Holiday discs 1-4, they are not the same as from the 10-CD box set. I would assume that Columbia would release each individual disc 1-10, identical to the 10-CD set. Can you gentlemen shed some light on this series? Will they duplicate all the disks from the Columbia box?
  8. I responded to all of you guys, thanks!
  9. I won't be unique. Coltrane at the Vanguard. All shows.
  10. It is known as the Boulevard of Death. Every year at least one or two people get killed crossing it. Many old folks live there.
  11. That's refreshing. I see those records around town periodically.
  12. That's a good price in today's economy! I've seen them go for $700+ on ebay in the days of yore. LP set I've seen for $900 once or twice. I'm saving my sealed set. It'll probably send my daughter through school in 17 years.
  13. I thought so too, until I bought one off ebay couple of years ago. It was expensive at $40 or so, but I ended up returning it for a refund because of the seller misrepresentation. Luckily for me it had a scratch that was audible and acknowledged by the seller. I thought the music was rather pedestrian and didn't make a copy. Maybe I should've just for reference. Perhaps you'll find it more interesting than I did. For $5 or $7 I'd keep it.
