  1. Been offline several days. Eventually rang my ISP today and said my router was fucked. But she got it going again - the heat had adjusted its settings back to the default and it didn't know what my network was any more. Can you credit it! MG
  2. Sounds good to me - idiots getting gored by bulls. MG
  3. Nice. Thanks for that link. MG
  4. I've never bought any of Eubie Blake's recordings. Back in the 70s, immediately following the TV version of 'Roots', there was a popular history documentary, which I watched as regularly as 'Roots'. Eubie was on that. I thought he was wonderful! A wizened old man of about a hundred and eighty, playing piano with the energy of Cecil Taylor and more full of life and joy than almost anyone I've ever seen. MG

  6. Yes, he made 2 instrumental albums for Eastbound/Westbound Hail Ceasar - Eastbound Ceasar Frazier '75 - Westbound He also mad a vocal album for Westbound Another life - Westbound The two instrumental albums are very enjoyable. The vocal... very, very ordinary. (Still, at least his name's spelled correctly ) MG

  13. I'm not holding back on 12 - these organists who are really pianists are dreadfully hard to identify because they haven't got an organ style. And flute players - well, the only one I can usually get is Fathead, but I never suspected him. So, I'm bereft of further ideas on this MG
  14. Listening to Fats Domino's Imperial singles collection, I wondered what the New Orleans jazz musicians thought of him, and other New Orleans R&B artists like Professor Longhair, Smiley Lewis etc. Were their views on this ever recorded? Anyone know? MG
