Nice one - the Antibes concert vinyl has (IMO) the benefit of a better coherence though ....

Same here ..... but in general I tend to believe that these recording - probably due to the fact they were originally issued in Japan only - didn`t receive too much appreciation .... and some lukewarm reviews didn`t help the cause either ....

Excellent concert performance recorded live at the 1980 Antibes Jazz Festival with Jean-Louis Chautemps (ts) + Eric Le Lann (tp) + Rene Urtreger (p) +Jean-Francois Jenny-Clark (b) + Aldo Romano (dr) (LP Carlyne Music ‎CAR 004) .... the vinyl is still available for rather little money ....

Stupendous ....

Takashi Kako + Kent Carter + Oliver Johnson "TOK Paradox" on JAPO is a good one ....

This or another way, Aaron Judge had a terrific season and in case he should miss out on the MVP this could prove in the end being a lesser burden to confirm (or even better) his performance in 2017 ....

This is a good live recording .... still this platter always leaves me wondering why Esther Phillips - backed by a crack soul proven band - was directed by Atlantic in her 2nd stint with the company to wade in more blues oriented territory while Aretha Franklin (with "This Girl's In Love With You") was oozing S-O-U-L .... and selling tons of records ....
