I went back and reread the original release information. Swing Journal is not guilty. EMI Japan had a website called Sound Town Jazz, which conducted a survey to select ' My best three BN', from which a magazine 'BN 100 Best' was compiled and this has been used as the basis for the new series releases. It sounds like a lot of nonsense to me, they just want a publicity gimmick to go with the low price reissues. Personally I couldn't care less, I got most. if not all of the BN Works ages ago. As soon as I confirm if they are BN Works reissues or the over rated RVG's I'll let you know. For anyone who is interested - http://www.emimusic.jp/jazz/bluenotebestmore/

The titles were selected by a poll which I think was conducted by Swing Journal. Readers were asked which titles they would most like to see reissued. That's why the reissues are not starting with Miles Vol 1.
