  1. Finished. A very good book. Recommended.
  2. The Mule - Clint Eastwood (2018) Really enjoyed it.
  3. I'm the same. I still do a few hours a week and don't especially want to stop completely.
  4. Masala chai. I have a cup every afternoon at 3.00. 1.5 tps black tea, 1 heaped tsp sugar, 2 squashed cardamon, pinch of fennel seeds. Boil all for 4 minutes, add liberal amount of full cream milk. Boil again, strain and serve in a HOT cup. Cheap tea is best. Expensive tea doesn't work with chai.
  5. You Were Never Really Here - Lynne Ramsay (2017) Watched it the first time and was impressed. Watched it the second time and was blown away. The extraordinary soundtrack should be heard on headphones. Annihilation - Alex Garland (2018)
  6. Quite good, entertaining fast read.
  7. The Kindergarten Teacher - Sara Colangelo (2018)
  8. City Hall - Harold Becker (1096) Personal Shopper - Olivier Assayas (2016)
  9. Stan & Ollie - John S Baird (2018) Beautiful. It's hard to imagine a finer tribute. Triple Border - JC Chandor (2019) Implausible heist yarn. The idiocy of the so called elite team beggars belief.
  10. Polytechnique - Denis Villeneuve (2009) A master film maker at work. Stunning. The Invisible Guest - Oriol Paulo (2017) Great thriller.
  11. The Hi Records rhythm section is really great.
  12. I heard that was the case with All Hell Let Loose, but didn't know of the title change of Nemesis. You would, like me, be at sea here, where book and film titles are more often changed than not. Not just to a directly translated title but something totally different.
