  1. The Devil's Backbone - Guillermo del Toro (2001) Dark City - Alex Proyas (1998)
  2. 2nd part of the trilogy.
  3. As the man said. A must see film. It's quiet and character based with exceptional cinematography. Worth seeing just for the night time train robbery scene
  4. The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford - Andrew Domink (2007) Camera by Roger Deakins
  5. Strong tea with milk and sugar. No teabags nonsense, real leaf tea made Indian style.
  6. Doubt - John Patrick Shanley (2008) Masterpiece. The cover doesn't reveal two essential contributions - Viola Davis as the mother and the camera of Roger Deakins.
  7. Disc 2 Cecile McLorin Salvant
  8. Thought I'd play a few tracks but ended up listening to all three discs.
  9. I'm very sorry to hear that. I remember once sending him a copy of The Bed Sitting Room, a film that he was having problems finding. In return he sent me a signed copy of his book. A brief exchange but one I'll remember.
  10. Rewatching - Red Riding Trilogy 1974 - Julian Jarold 1980 - James Marsh 1983 - Anand Tucker
  11. Bertrand Russell wrote about this in 1932 in In Praise Of Idleness.
  12. Please don't let my lack of enthusiasm deter you from watching. Even flawed, and quite unbelievable, it's still worth your time.
  13. Depends. If I can't get into it at all, I'll stop at 50pgs. If I'm on the fence I might read a third of the book. Agree with your second sentence completely.
  14. Line Of Duty finale. Yeah, right. I think I can say that this season was below par. This week's Game Of Thrones. Who will drive the stake through Cersei? I can't imagine the show concluding with her still on the Iron Throne. I was also a late convert. When I finally started watching it turned into an epic binge.
  15. I made it about 2/3rds of the way through The Overstory before giving up. ............... Finished. A struggle to finish, not worth the effort.
  16. Apollo 11 - Todd Douglas Miller (2019)
