30 minute albums bite, IMHO. (With a few exceptions, here and there, of course.)

Jaki Byard - Sunshine of My Soul (Prestige, 1967) Any reviews from folks here?? Also looks like several of Jaki's trio recordings from the early 60's might well fit what I'm looking for (or nearly so). Any thoughts on them??

Second Story Books is a great used book store, and well worth stopping into. They have some CD's too (if I remember right), and I'm pretty sure I bought half a dozen used jazz CD's and a couple classicals too -- last time I was there (probably three years ago). Totally hit or miss as far as what CD's they had, but it was above average from what I remember. Well worth a visit.

Aren't there some Mosaic LP's from the Miles 65-68 box with the complete long version of "Circle in the Round" on one side on on LP?? From my CD's, that clocks in at 33:32. Wasn't there something I read in the Mosaic liner-notes about the sound quality being a tiny bit substandard on the LP version, because of the track length???

Up - I'm still curious about this Moran disc. If it's music that's not available elsewhere, it's definitely got my attention. Thanks, Erik Can't believe it's really anything different. Probably his debut album as a leader, would be my guess. (And they just left the title off.)
