  1. Don Pullen George Adams Quartet - Mr. Smoothie (from Breakthrough)
  2. The Scofield DVD Live In Montreal with Lovano is the equal of their first two studio albums to me. The only post Quiet Scofield I enjoyed was Trio Live - EnRoute. I Can See Your House From Here is about the only Metheny album I can stand to listen to. Of course I'm in no way well-versed in anything.
  3. The China Man Who Peed On My Rug Asian-American Uli Kunkel
  4. I bought four further Coltrane SHM-CDs: UCCU-6069 John Coltrane - Live At The Village Vanguard UCCU-6154 John Coltrane - Impressions UCCU-6163 John Coltrane - Live At Birdland UCCI-9212 John Coltrane - Stellar Regions I'm still waiting for two others to ship: UCCI-9213 John Coltrane - Interstellar Space UCCI-9211 John Coltrane - Jupiter Variation
  5. Is it me or is Sir John anxious to fend off that hand job?
  6. My loss for never getting into the Beatles. "I could never stand to see a moodge all filthy and rolling and burping and drunk, whatever his age might be, but more especially when he was real starry like this one was."
  7. Not as obviously smug as some previous offenders.
  8. Disgracing the inside of all recent reissues of 'his' albums in the Keepnews Collection is this smug old fart.
  9. If I hadn't stuck mostly to the usual suspects when I first gravitated from rock to jazz the list would undoubtedly be longer. I sort of fell in love with the sound of acoustic instruments. Pharaoh's Dance is the track I could least relate to on Bitches Brew.
  10. Pope John XII Pope Paul II Nelson Rockefeller
  11. Beaker Dr. Bunsen Honeydew Honey Boo Boo
  12. Several reasons: these are CD-Rs and, as I said in my first post, I don't want a CD-R, and I'm not going to support activities such as selling unauthorized CD-Rs of copyrighted material. Do they at least clearly advertise these discs as CD-Rs? When I last ordered from them through their own website (not eBay) some years back they only made a distinction between new and used discs without going into specifics about the condition used discs were in. I only ordered new DIW discs from them (with complete satisfaction).
  13. Edit: Someone deleted a post I responded to that went: Putin, Caligula, Dracula Silvio Berlusconi Rupert Murdoch Fat Cat
  14. Dolphy box received in good order. Thank You.
  15. Check out this post: Also on this search page: https://groups.googl...zM/gYqVy-xh3SMJ Thanks for posting those links. ----- Exclusive contracts under U.S. law, such as Miles Davis is assumed to have had with Columbia, don't necessarily apply to the rest of the world. You mean the greatest country (and God's favourite) in the history of the world isn't the center of the universe? I take the Fifth.
