  1. Yes, and with Roy Haynes and Jaki Byard! Nice recording as well. The other one I have is Ballads for Trane from 1977, which is also pretty good.
  2. Yes. I was happy to find such a nice near mint copy for a reasonable price. The package was delayed for two weeks at a Parisian post office because of a strike, but that's very French, I suppose, like the concert and record label it was released on. Now: Archie Shepp Lady Bird (Denon) I bought this one last month.
  3. One more tune before a late night walk with the dog and bedtime:
  4. Count me out. I don't own any of the Warner albums.
  5. Life is too short to get bogged down in discussions of economics with 'Mericans, Cap'n Toodeloo. And I am not implying what you think I'm implying, no sir.
  6. Seems to be two different things, guys. Mattson 2: And finally A Love Supreme for imbeciles:
  7. You must be joking, because you left out the Braxton.
  8. I saw Faust perform the Bach violin concertos with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin at the Concertgebouw two years ago. Delighted with this new 2CD.
  9. That particular Japanese disc sounds great IMO. I love the grainy textured sound of that organ.
  10. And on the sixth day God created money, whiteness, and the United States Constitution. And God said:"Blessed be the Job Creators, they shall have the earth for their possession."
  11. Criminal. All those capitalist parasites and shareholders should be put against the wall IMO.
  12. The difference is the fruits of Felser's labour are not deemed newsworthy by the media. I resent beeing bomarded with all this mediocre shit on televison and radio. The real low point came in the nineties when every moron had to have his booming monotonic house beats to enjoy himself in his car, his appartment, etc. These days most people seem too distracted by smartphones with earbuds and flatscreens to care about 'making boom boom'. Progress!
  13. I have never been a Santana fan, but don't most rock acts simply lack the compositional talent to keep releasing new popular material on a consistent level? They have only a handful of great albums in them, but keep on releasing shit and touring for decades on end. I was fed up with this mediocrity by the time I switched focus to jazz permanently around 1998.
  14. Van Halen, 2015 remaster, HD Tracks 24bit 192kHz FLAC.
  15. I'm sure the neighbours hated us for it.
  16. John Coltrane Live at the Village Vanguard Again! (UCCI-9010) An early favourite. I think I like this version of My Favorite Things best.
