  1. RIP.
  2. When will you be in Chama?
  3. He tempted fate as a matter of his routine and fate finally took him up on it. He wasn't invincible but he probably went out the way he wanted to. My sympathy to his family.
  4. Things will even themselves out. Hang in there Daddy O.
  5. Well if Dylan has to serve somebody it might as well be Sonny.
  6. What Jim R said-no shit!!!!When I worked in Brawley,California at an AM radio station the exit lead straight to an alley an it was not uncommon to see winos answering natures call but at least they weren't taking a dump. You sir have-well-shitty working conditions . My sympathy.
  7. Unless it's to watch them lose.
  8. The hurricane is now a tropical storm and it will probably dissipate more by the time it reaches NC and hopefully your adversity will dissipate and disappear quicky!!!! Good Luck.
  9. If I knew the Santana was going to come up that cheap I would've waited-oh well!!!!
  10. If anybody on the board is an Astros fan you have Oswalt locked up for the next five years-73 million.
  11. Got the two Dexter Gordon's,Stanley Turrentine,Jazz Crusaders and the revamped Allman Brothers "Eat A Peach" off this offer. Not a bad price if I do say so myself.
  12. Almost agreed up and down the line except for "Between The Buttons" I really didn't care for it and as I recalled neither did Jagger.
  13. My Evans box has arrived-YEEHAW!!!!! I don't claim to be an auiophile either and if it doesn't sound like it was recorded in a shoebox I'm going to call it good!!!
  14. I've said this before somewhere on the board but god I don't remember where. Anyway-again- I saw Maynard years ago at a county fair in Imperial County in California which is just about as nowheresville in California as you could get and he and the band were playing just across the way from a dirt track at the same time a race was going on. Maynard appeared unphased about this unfortunate turn of events and proclaimed to the audience that the band could play louder than the automobiles and proceeded to do just that and played great to boot. I felt blessed to see Maynard even if it was in the middle of freaking nowhere California and I'll miss him.RIP.
  15. The Evans box that I thought I missed out on is apparently on it's way. The charge had been pulled off my credit card which led me to believe that I missed out but today I received my FedEx information which indicated that the box is supposed to arrive on the 25th. It confused the hell out of me but if I get the box I can live with that.
  16. Thanks for the info Ed. If you have never seen Los Lobos I heartily recommend that you do so. They put on a great show.
  17. I have the cd and enjoy it. Some other cuts of note are "Why Get Up" "Amnesia" and "Down At Antones".Also appreciate some guest apperances by members of "Los Lobos".
  18. Ed are they back to one guitarist and who was it?
  19. The Brick and Mortar in Pagosa is good about special orders and the Brick and Mortar in Durango has a fairly decent selection. Both have good people in them-not pea brained cowboy redneck morons or corporate thugs. The only problem is they both sell at list and for somebody like me who frequently buys in volume that simply doesn't work so I buy primarily online. I feel terribly guilty about that but that's just how it is.
  20. 12x5 Now Out of Our Heads December's Children Aftermath They were consistent and solid through that stretch. After that it was more hit and miss IMO.
  21. Is this soundtrack available under Getz's name or will you have to search for it under soundtracks?
  22. When I was in San Francisco on buisness I used to like to go to the Tower which wasn't too far from the hotel that I stayed at(the St Francis Westin). Is that the Tower you were referring to?If it is that's too bad because it was pretty good.
