  1. Well Sangrey if you're channeling Joe Farrell how bout getting all those CTI albums reissued?
  2. A 200 dollar in print cd makes as about as much sense as an 85 dollar Horace Silver t shirt.
  3. Good news Greg!!!!
  4. I'm with Felser on Carlos Garnett. I just about wore out "Journey To Enlightenment" and "Let This Melody Ring On" but somewhere along the way I parted company with those two albums and I really didn't mean to.
  5. I haven't listened to music on Sunday morning recently but if the opportunity presents itself soon it's set aside for the Bill Evans Riverside box.
  6. Considering all the music he has recorded over the years,Horace's track record is amazing. Sure some of them are better than others but IMO the man has never recorded one that I've heard that is a flat out dog.
  7. I used to shop at Tower's all the time. This is a sad day but I guess all things do change.
  8. Many Happy Reruns Marcello!!!!!
  9. Happy Belated Birthday!!!!!
  10. Cool.
  11. Happy Birthday o magnificent one!!!!!!
  12. A curse on the bastards who left him out of the hall.
  13. It will be alright. The digits will have fun with the new guitar before and after surgery.
  14. Being GregN appears to be a good gig.
  15. Happy Birthday and btw what do you think of the varitone anyway?
  16. Happy Birthday. Hope it's a good one!!!!!
  17. That's probably because those bands are what programmers consider "classic rock" in addition to the Stones, Who, Led Zep, etc. Please tell me, aside from Hendrix, what black artists are missing from "classic rock" programming, because I thought that between Hendrix and Living Colour, there weren't any black artists involved in rock. That's valid up to a point if you want to narrowly define it. However look at the Rock N Roll hall of fame and the Black representation there. Admittedly there's more R n B,Soul etc there but they are there. It's just unfortunate that oldies radio isn't that inclusive but like you said a lot of that is on the doorstep of big corporate radio.
  18. One can only hope.
  19. Just like Elvis they're going to be rehashed to death.
  20. My heart is with the Dodgers but my money would be with the Pads. San Diego may not have the best pitching staff but they have the healthiest and if they turn it over to the pen in the 7th it's lights out. My guess is that it will be San Diego against the New York Mercenaries-er Yankees!!!
  21. I heard him the other morning on NPR. Very impressive.
  22. Happy Birthday!!!!!
  23. You must now tunnel underneath this thread and head quickly into the nearby woods. Hopefully your papers are in order.
