It's warming up. Got to 68 degrees degrees today. It was still windy but the wind seemed to be calming down. The weekend weather forecast calls for a high in the mid 70's.

Where's Scully and Mulder now that we need them? Seriously though,while I don't about the reliability of this story it is a big old funky universe and I for one believe we are not alone in it.

You're right on that. You don't have Fanta/Apple soda in San Francisco-I'm shocked,SHOCKED!!!!! Yeah...but we have every OTHER flavor of Fanta. Go figure! It's a conspiracy I tell you!!!

That refrence to Scientology dredged up a sour memory. Several employees of the radio station that I was working at and I were invited to meet Chick after an RTF concert. The problem was that the meet and greet was at the Scientology church in Phoenix. We went anyway and it didn't take long for the scientologists to make us not feel welcome. They didn't care that we were only there to try and meet Chick. Their message to us was either convert or leave so we left without meeting Chick. I realize it is wrong to stereotype but in the case of the scientologists I don't feel totally bad about doing it. As far as I'm concerned the scientologists are fucking assholes best avoided.

Well maybe not chilling per se but getting away from all that crap that you had to endure is just as good as chilling.

Tonight in the Dodgers-Cubs game Alex Cora had an 18 pitch at bat against Matt Clement. Clement is the type that might throw 18 pitches in three innings but Cora just kept fouling pitches off. I think Clement got to the point where he couldn't handle it anymore and maybe grooved one in there hoping that Cora would either put in play or strike out. Cora hit into the right field bullpen scoring himself and another team mate.

I have yet to see them here. Oh well so it goes in Slowgosa Springs.

The week has been full of dealing with mostly jerks and idiots and pulling off a remote and a baseball game this weekend is shaping up to be a chore but it's nothing that several pitchers of beer won't cure.

I want to update my blues collection and all this bossa talk has got me in the mood for Joyce.

Did Jobim ever do a bad record? If he did it sure eluded me. If anybody rates the monster box(s) and the best possible remastering available treatment it is Tom Jobim. His recordings are sonically wonderful as is but if they can be made even better than they should be. I know his music has made a lot of my days.

53 degrees right now and it has been extremely windy. The forecast calls for some snow tonight but I am kind of doubtful.Springtime in the Rockies-ya gotta love it!!!
