  1. Also, some of the dogginess might be related to the fact that all of my dns servers have not been set yet. I'm waiting for the domain name "organissimo.org" to be transfered to me (should take a few days) so I can edit the dns servers on file. That might speed things up a bit. If the dogginess continues, I'll be calling tech support.
  2. First off, thank you everyone for being so patient. I have never done anything like this before (ie, transferring a huge, 400mb database from one server to another) and it took a lot of research and some very kind and knowledgeable tech support (thanks, Andrew) to get this going. Things seems a little doggy right now, but I think the database is still configuring itself. Also, some uploaded pictures might be missing... I still have some files from the upload folder to put on the new server, but most should be here. I will be getting my email addresses up and running in the next day or two. In the meantime, if you have any problems at all or any issues come up, please contact me at: b3groover@gmail.com And now, I'm going to go take a nap!
  3. Oh, you have much to learn, grasshopper... This is a true story. My father is a piano technician/tuner. One day, in the summer of 1998 (I think... can't quite remember) he gets a call from a guy. The guy says, "Yeah, I got your number from the side of your van. I got this organ in my barn and I wondered if you might want it." My dad asks him some questions about it and determines that it might be a B3. So we go to take a look at it. The guy literally lives down the street from my dad. Within walking distance. So we head over there and sure enough, sitting in his barn, is a B3. It had a broken key, no fallboard (the piece of wood that covers the keys when not in use), no pedals, no bench, no speaker, but it's a B3 in great condition. The guy tells us he was driving out in the country, saw the organ in someone's front row among a pile of trash, thought it was pretty, so he wrestled it onto his truck. (He probably left the pedals, bench, etc... but oh well). He then stored it in his barn for a few months before realizing he didn't need it. Final cost to us: $20. And after a little oiling of the motor and fixing the broken key, it works great. That's the organ on our record (and the upcoming new record) and that I use live every week. People are weird. They throw stuff out. My dad has gotten so many pianos for free that are beautiful instruments that I've lost count. I got my piano for free. Next time you see a Hammond on the side of the road and it's a tonewheel model, pick it up!!!
  4. Yes, it's still open. The CD will probably be out in late June / early July. I'll cut-off the Level 4 donations right before the CD goes to print. As for being in general stores, since we don't have a label, probably not. But you can order it online in several ways.
  5. YEs, he did start playing in his mid 20's. He said that once to a friend and myself. I think he played trumpet before switching to organ.
  6. That was a cool interview. Thanks, Ron!
  7. Ha! I didn't know Larry had released that finally! That's hilarious!!!
  8. Downbeat VS. JazzTimes... A FIGHT TO THE DEATH!!!!!!!!
  9. My sis had the baseball game when I was a youngin'. I hated it. I'd rather play Galaxia.
  10. It must be such a drag to be so negative all the time.
  11. Stephen Jackson looks like Sammy Davis Jr.
  12. Pacers are in trouble. I don't think this one will go to seven games. Anyone else think that Dale Davis looks like Fathead?
  13. I'd listen to a recording of my wife and baby together. Some things are better than music.
  14. Umm... earth to Linkin Park... it's a corporation.
  15. What kind of loser would write a review of a 12 pack of Coca Cola?
  16. The bass pedals on spinets are pretty sucky. But you can at least learn "heal/toe" on them. If it's an M100 (the first picture ss1 posted) that's a decent Hammond to learn on.
  17. Greg, Melvin came to Billy's last year. Randy saw him, said it was funkalicious. I'm sure he'll come aroud again.
  18. No, I don't think there is any doubt who should win the MVP. How many games did the heat win last year? 42. How many this year? 59. How many games did LA win with Shaq last year? 56. How many this year without Shaq? 34. That's a huge difference. I love the Pistons as much as you do, Bruce, but you gotta give Shaq some credit where it's due.
  19. Nash winning the MVP is crap. We all know who it should go to...
  20. Was perusing eMusic.com and found this: The Sugarman Three I've heard of them, since Adam Scone is the organist, but I don't have any of their CDs. Nice stuff! And greazy!
  21. The look on his face is priceless... it's like, "Yeah, I'm banging a white chick. What's it to you?"
  22. Starbucks?
  23. Grand Total (minus stupid Paypal fees): $316.49 I'm going to have Paypal transfer the money into my checking account (which will take 3-4 days) and then write a check to Eric, with a little note on behalf of the Organissimo Forums thanking him for all the music and wishing him well. I'll let y'all know when the check goes out. Thanks for the donations!
