Noj, the Pistons were underdogs because the Lakers have won three titles in five years and the Pistons are from the Eastern Conference, which have won a total of 3 finals games in the past three seasons.

Organissimo (dry) t-shirt contest

Looks great! But the colors are not right... you can use Photoshop color picker thingy on the "big O" that couw posted to find the colors... but I'm sure you know that. -

Organissimo (dry) t-shirt contest

logo moved down the shoulders in the previous post. Myself, I like it better than the crossword puzzle thing as well. the latter would only be suited for the front and even there it looks too cluttered. I do fear the sub text is too small. The one you posted is just a little under actual size and not easy to read. Maybe a little less text, leave out the "online" and the "/forum" and blow it all up a bit. How's this I like that one. And couw's original one, with the url around the circle, for the front. -
Organissimo (dry) t-shirt contest

We're not greedy. The shirts are expensive enough as is. Here is CafePress's basic price list. These are the prices we would pay them to make the shirts. Any profits have to be added on top. CafePress PriceList -
Fine... if Randy doesn't want to host the party, I will. BIG PARTY AT JIM'S PLACE! I have no yard, but there is a beautiful park right across the street from my house complete with swimming pool and basketball courts. We could have a good ol' time. Maybe I should ask the wife... but Sunday would be the day.

Organissimo (dry) t-shirt contest

I understand that, but we don't have the resources or money to buy 250 T-shirts nor do I think we'll sell that many any time soon. -
Aw come on, you're busy on a Sunday?

CWShredder is a good program. Try that one, Moose and Rooster. There is another one called "Hijack" that I can send each of you once I get home. I'm in Daytona right now and will be home Thursday. It's not as user friendly as the other programs. Basically it gives you a list of items and you have to decide which one to get rid of and which not to. Some of them are programs that Windows needs and you'll be screwed if you get rid of them... so it's not for the novice. If you'd like, you can use the program (don't try to find it on the web... you're likely to download another virus! I'll email it to both of you when I get back home on Wednesday) and then email me the list it gives you and I can tell you what to get rid of. That program helped me get a worm off my computer that my anti-virus, Ad-Aware, and Spybot couldn't touch. Let me know.

Organissimo (dry) t-shirt contest

Well, that Cafe-place (I can't remember the damn name) has no upfront costs and they make each T-shirt on order. So they charge $16.99 for a shirt. I was going to charge $20 so we can make some money on the deal. Is that cool? -

Probably around $20. -
Ok, so I came out with guns blazing and I apologize. But I've just been hearing and reading a lot of people complaining about the refs and saying that the Pistons championship will be handed to them by the refs, which is insulting. I've been watching basketball a long time too and the refs are not perfect. But they are consistent. They consistently give the team with more energy and who is playing harder the benefit of the doubt. And the Pistons are playing with more energy and more passion than the Lakers.

Well, since there are no setup fees for that Cafe-something place (the link with the $100 shirts) we could have two or three different designs and you guys could just pick. Personally, I like the one with the circle on the front and impossible's logo on the back and also couw's original. We could then get white, black, or grey shirts to put those on. Whaddya think? -
Party at Randy's that weekend! That's what we should do... get Chuck and Ann over there, Upright Bill, Uncle Skid, we'll play some music, have some food. Whaddya think Randy?

So you're saying that every time the Lakers drive to the basket they are getting fouled but no call? Yeah... that's why Detroit got to the Finals. Because their defense is a myth and the refs are turning a blind eye. That's why Rasheed played his first full second quarter of the series last night. Those two fouls that the refs have hit him with in the previous three games were... uh, what? I've been reading and hearing so much whining from Laker fans about the refs. It's all the refs fault. I mean, how else can you explain why the Lakers haven't swept the Pistons, like everyone thought? Maybe because the Lakers are old, tired, slow, and do not play as a team. Shaq does great in the first half but all the running the Pistons make him do tire him out. Throw him the ball all you want in the second half. He will not be as effective because he's tired. Payton vs. Billups is a joke. Billups mops the floor with Payton. Same for 'Sheed vs. Malone. Prince has been doing a tremendous job on Kobe, contesting every shot and forcing him to take wild shots from odd angles as the clock runs down. Besides, I though officials gave preferrential treatment to superstars... who are the superstars on the Pistons roster? Face the facts... the Lakers are lucky to be in the Finals in the first place (thanks to Fischer's lucky, but should've been discounted shot against the Spurs) and they completely under-estimated the Pistons. They have been completely unpredictable the entire season... swinging from terrible to amazing back to terrible again due to the massive egos floating around on that team. They are frustrated and thus fouling more and have absolutely no answer for the Pistons. And no team has ever come back from 3-1. You can blame the refs all you want but the simple fact is that the Lakers have been outplayed. Even Magic thinks so. The passion just isn't there.

Kobe shouldn't retire... he's too young. I'm sure the trial is weighing heavily on his mind. If he makes it out of that, maybe he should join the Pistons.

Organissimo (dry) t-shirt contest
Jim Alfredson replied to Upright Bill's topic in organissimo - The Band Discussion
How about keeping the design simple (ie, the first one) and then having some sort of slogan underneath the image, separate from the rest. Such as... "The best jazz forums on the net" or something to that extent. -
Believe in the "D" my friend. BTW, what was up with Tolbert's suit last night? Good Lord! It would be sweet if the Pistons close it out on Tuesday.

Well, the board is running again, but now we're having email problems. Stupid MySQL. We'll work it out. Thanks for your patience, everyone. Sorry this has taken so long. I was out of town this weekend and my server guy is currently in New York City. We'll work this out. -
Organissimo (dry) t-shirt contest
Jim Alfredson replied to Upright Bill's topic in organissimo - The Band Discussion
Nice work couw and Noj. Not to nitpick, but the inside of the circle should be this color (in hex): DCDCE6 When I designed the logo I was thinking of the trio. The inside color represents the organ, the foundation of the organ trio, the orange is the guitar, the complement to the organ, and the purple is the drums, the rhythm, which encircles all. Deep, eh? Yeah, man. Anyway, it has to be three separate colors. Also, should the actual forums be mentioned somewhere? Or is it better to leave it un-explained and then have people ask you about it? "What the hell is ORGASMO?" -
POF used to be our drummer before he moved to the West Coast and we had to resort to getting that dastardly Randissimo. I was watching Bob Barker the other day and musing how strange it is that he has out-lived Rod Rodney. Of course, Rod probably didn't get any chicks. Bob is no dummy.

Considering hardly anyone even noticed the death of Elvin Jones except NPR, are you really surprised?

I'll email CDBaby and see what the hold-up is. Thanks for letting me know.
