  1. God, Joe... you just had to go there, didn't you. NASTY!
  2. I go back and forth. Sometimes I think the Pistons will take it, sometimes I think the Pacers will. Maybe they'll go down to a game seven. That would be sweet! In all honesty, I like Carlisle better than Brown and I'm not too happy the Pistons gave him up. He deserves to be in the finals.
  3. Invision is providing a covertor for version 1.3 to 2.0. It just isn't out yet. That's why I haven't updated. And also why I haven't made any more skins. Usually the skins are not transferable, regardless of the conversion software. So I'm waiting until we get 2.0 to make any more.
  4. I think what he's saying in that photo is, "See, Jimmy Smith! I ain't afraid to let cats see my drawbar settings!! I'll even pose for a picture with them!!"
  5. They upgraded their software. Version 2.0 of Invision is out, but right now there is no way to convert from 1.3 (which is what "The Big O" is using) to 2.0. That is coming soon. 2.0 looks WAY cool though! I'm excited!
  6. Great shot by Reggie and good game. I still think the Pacers will take this one in six, even though I don't want to admit it.
  7. Yes, my brother's birthday was yesterday (Saturday, May 22nd) and since the board was down, this post will have to do! I had a gig and I'm sorry I missed the little shindig at dad's, bro. I owe you a birthday present.
  8. Good to be online again! Anyone click on "Today's Active Topics" yet? There were two! Haha!
  9. Big nasty storm rolled through Michigan. Probably a temporary power outage responsable for the downtime.
  10. I wish I could've seen the whole game, but I was on a gig. I just caught parts here and there on my break. Ok, I've changed my mind. Pistons vs. Pacers.... Pistons in 6.
  11. Fantastic. Speaking of Elvin, I just have to say that Randy played his ass off on our Elvin tribute last night. We played "Timeline" from the Michael Brecker album with Pat Metheny, Larry Goldings, and Elvin, and Randy played very powerfully and soulfully in Elvin's memory. Good stuff.
  12. I think J. Kidd must've been smokin' a jay before he came to The Palace, what with that shitty performance!
  13. Happy B-day, Chuck. We geminis have to stick together.
  14. I'm with Sangry. Me want solo gospel organ music!!
  15. I like Eric Alexander. Not everyone can be an innovator, nor would we want them to be. Innovation for the sake of innovation is as vaccuus as repeating Bird licks ad nauseum.
  16. Still ain't giving us no props, eh?
  17. So ss1... what are those parting gifts and can they be given to the Nets instead? What did I tell you? You know you're in trouble when Big Ben is hitting 19 foot jumpers.
  18. Cool! The brother of Charles Kynard here on the Organissimo Forums! Welcome, from a fan and player of Hammond B3! "Where It's At" is a fine record, and one I am grateful to Dan for turning me on to! It would be cool to do a website with this stuff on it, too! A virtual tribute to Charles Kynard on the web! There are not enough infomational sites about jazz music and players out there. That would be way cool!
  19. The Pistons will not lose this game on their home court against the Nets. They won't let that happen. Now in the Eastern Finals, with Detroit's injuries, I think the Pacers will win it in 6. I hate to say it, but that's what I feel. The Nets are done.
  20. Damn, Bill, that sucks! I'm glad you're ok, though... thank the powers that be for that one.

    Elvin is dead

That's a real shame, but now he is at peace. He has given the world a treasure on incredible music and we should all be grateful. RIP the great Elvin Jones.

    Elvin is dead

Why is this a disrespectful thread if it turns out not to be true? I don't think aric is trying to fool anyone... he got an email that Elvin has passed and thought to spread the word. We all know Elvin has been of ill health lately. I don't get it.
  23. I don't mind "spam" here (I don't think this qualifies, since it is jazz related) as long as the posteres show respect and don't fill up the entire board with it (ie, the saxman episode). The jazz world is tough enough as is. If this website can help fellow musicians, business men, labels, etc that are in the jazz community, then I have no problem with it.
  24. Well it ain't gonna be the Pistons either, mark my words. There's no way they'll let game seven slip away on their home court. It's good that they have so many days off... they can rest up.
  25. 'Sheed has an injury that is keeping him from playing 100%. I forget the name of it, but it was described as feeling like a marble is in your heel constantly. So everytime you jump and come down, or step on your heel hard, it shoots pain up your leg. Everybody needs to play their hearts out on Thursday to beat the Nets... Billups, Tayshaun, Rip, and the Wallaces, as well as the backups. I'm still flabergasted that the bench got almost no use in the third quarter. What is Larry Brown thinking?!?
