I like how Tom Tolbert and those folks finally said, halfway through the fourth quarter, "I guess we shouldn't be asking what's wrong with the Lakers when they lose. We should be asking what's right with the Pistons." Yeah... no shit! Pistons will win one more on their home court and another in LA.

So far all the MSNBC website has is a banner with Ray Charles' spokesmen saying he died. Gonna spin some right now. I love Brother Ray.

Just saw on MSNBC that Ray Charles died today. Can anyone confirm? I saw Ray live three times in the last 6 years or so. He always had a great band and put on a fantastic show. His music IS jazz. RIP.

Anybody see Conan O'Brian last night? He had a silly character on called "Man Who Is A Fan of the Naked Gun Movies Wakes Up From an 11 Year Coma". The guy is asking about all this stuff and asks about OJ, who acted in one of those movies. Conan says, "Well, he just did an interview... take a look..." They cut to his interview on CNN and he says, "Well, things are going great. My son is graduating from high school...." and lists all these normal things that are happening. They cut back to coma man and he screams in horror, "OH MY GOD! OJ IS A MURDERER!!!!!!!" Very funny.

No, because Wal-Mart is cheap. Tower is anything but. Tower is like the Mongolian Bar-B-Que of music. It's expensive, the service sucks, and you can get better product elsewhere much cheaper, but people flock to it for no good reason.

Detroit will win two at home. Then they'll win one in LA and it'll be lights out for the Lakeshow!

Tower sucks. We had one in E. Lansing. It came in and systematically killed every other CD store in town except for the ones that sell used (it tried to kill them too, by selling used CDs). It killed my favorite store, Wherehouse Records. They had a killer jazz and classical selection. After it had destroyed all it's competition, it closed. Thanks, Tower. You rule.

It was hard to play a gig when that game was on. We left the TVs on in the club (we usually have the management turn them off) and I was trying to play solos, call tunes, and such while watching the game! We'll see what happens in D-town tomorrow. My prediction? Detroit by 12.

Who are they going to call the foul on if no flopping? Ben or Shaq? Ben's no dummy. Plus, Shaq out-weighs him by what, 100lbs? What else can he do?

That was a deflating shot. I don't know why they didn't foul somebody away from the ball. Send them to the line. Worse case scenario you'll still up one with the ball.

Why was Hamilton guarding Kobe? Should've been Tayshaun, and then that shot would've been much harder. Great shot, though. The next three are in Detroit. Considering that they almost won last night, I would think people are taking them much more seriously now. I think they will win two in Detroit.

It is completely inexcusable that in the richest country on earth, the good ol' United States of America, we do not have a national health care system. There is no excuse. I feel your pain, Berigan. Before my wife got a city job and benefits, I never had health insurance of any kind. Never. Not even as a child growing up. And with seven siblings, you better believe that your arm would have to be cut off before you go to the doctor. My parents just couldn't afford it.

Hardbop is an idiot. And clifton is the most trigger-happy moderator of a forum I've ever seen. He closed one and deleted another thread I and Brandon Burke were engaged in over there with that other idiot, JazzRules. Two threads that had hardly even approached "lukewarm", much less "heated". But whatever, it's their board. I won't be back.

Personally I think the award was great, being from Indiana and seeing Ron play frequently, I know what he does for the team with his defense I know what he does for his team, too. He loses critical games for them with flagrant fouls! Sorry, but had to go back to this just because it's still bullshit that he won the Defensive Player of the Year Award. There is no better defender than Ben Wallace and everybody knows that. Go Pistons!!!!
