  1. You can now link/synchronize your profile information here on the board with Facebook. First, become a fan of the 'organissimo jazz forums' on Facebook by clicking here: http://www.facebook....42602481&v=wallWhile you're there, why not become a fan of the band organissimo, too? http://www.facebook....52899466?ref=tsNext, come back to the forums and click on your username in the upper right corner. Choose "My Settings".You'll see a horizontal menu just below "Your Options". Click "Profile"You'll see a vertical menu along the left side. Choose "Manage Facebook Connect".Fill in the information and press "Synchronize Now!"Press "Save changes" at the bottom. Voila! This will synchronize your status and profile picture between the board and Facebook. The developers plan on more integration in the future. Pretty cool! The other nice thing is that the organissimo jazz forum Facebook page can serve as a meeting place if the board goes down for whatever reason.
  2. There may be something in the admin panel to change how links are handled. I will look into it.
  3. Folks, upgrade your browser. I suggest using Firefox.
  4. I think Chuck should end every post with... ... ya lousy bums!
  5. I plan on putting a Today's Active Topic link back on every page like it was before. I just have to remember how I did it the first time. I also have to figure out if its worth my trouble to put the Amazon / CDUniverse search boxes back in.
  6. I have no idea what this is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fh_4r8bXGbk
  7. I knew you guys would figure it out! Database is almost half way through the 930,000+ posts to repair the quote issue. It's been clunking away since noon, so another 6 or 7 hours and everything should be groovin.
  8. All CDs that were pre-ordered were sent today via First Class USPS. Please post your thoughts when you get your disc! Thank you, everyone!
  9. Yes it was a permissions issue. When the post rebuild is done (which looks like it may take up to 24 hours based on how it is going now), we should be kickin' it.
  10. BTW, if it seems a tad slower than normal, its because I'm currently having the database rebuild the posts to fix the quote problem. It's been going for 30 minutes and is at 20,000 posts. A math wizard that is smarter than me can figure out how long it will take to go through all 930,000+ posts.
  11. What forum are you trying to upload into? This is the announcements forum and nobody can start topics or upload here except for me. And what error are you getting? It's possible the permissions are not set correctly for the upload folder. neveronfriday's post is reassuring. Most of these display issues are probably at the user end. I remember when somehow an installation of Flash got messed up in my install of Firefox and it screwed up a lot of websites. I had to completely uninstall Firefox and re-install to fix the problem. IE was fine and Flash installed perfectly. These things can be frustrating I know but I urge everyone to update to the latest version of their browser and flash/shockwave. I just tried to attach something and got an error, too. I bet the permissions are not set right for the uploads folder. I'll get on it.
  12. Back in my day when we sang a capella we didn't have Autotune.
  13. Uploaded the recent one, at least i hope, something called Adobe Flash player and still same problem regarding your posts, where is supposed to be the mp3 player ? There is an mp3 player embedded in my first post, right above the YouTube video. It is a flash-based player. Can you try the site in a different browser?
  14. I wonder if it has to do with how old your version of the Flash plugin is, since Bright Moments was saying he couldn't see the mp3 player (which is Flash based).
  15. I just took out all html links in my signature. Does that help?
  16. Ah... I have a dynamic link to Facebook down there. I just took it out. Better?
  17. That's odd Hans because I have the latest IE8 with XP (SP3) too and it works great. Also works great in Firefox. It could be a DNS issue still which only patience will remedy. Hard to know at this point.
  18. Yes, I will work on that. To those having display issues, please make sure you're using the latest versions of your preferred browser. This software uses all the latest standards and thus needs up to date browser software to display correctly.
  19. You should have been able to add attachments to posts on the old forum. Same thing goes for this one. Look for the "Attachments" section underneath the main post textbox. Browse for the file you want to attach and then make sure you click on "Attach This File". Right next to that button is a message telling you what your attachment limit is.
  20. Happy Birthday to our resident pontificationisticismationator.
  21. I just re-embedded the first mp3 and it does no auto-play anymore. So there. Yes, the server is MUCH faster. Searching in general should be much better. The first thing I noticed is that deleting a PM is almost instantaneous now. It used to take at least 45 seconds on the old server.
  22. No, it's just the mp3 that's in the first post of this topic. Other mp3s that are embedded with the new media tag (which as of now should be none, other than the aforementioned one I used as an example) will not auto-play.
  23. I just changed the embedding options so that mp3s do not autoplay, however it does not affect those already embedded.
  24. Brad, what sort of problems? If your computer is still seeing the old site, trying cleaning out your cache or editing the host file, as detailed above.
  25. I'll also be updating the header graphic and some other small graphic changes but I might not get to that for a bit. This week is crazy and I've got 60+ CDs to sign and send!
