  1. Thanls, Lazaro! That was a strange gig... we played what, four tunes? We were originally supposed to play from 8:00 to 9:30 but when we got there they had us from 8:45 to 9:30 and then we had to stop a bit early for the chick singer. Biggest crowd we'eve ever played for was probably Clearwater in 2003. Had to be at least 10,000.
  2. I'm here because I can't leave!!!!!!!!!
  3. He lives in Indianapolis and plays The Jazz Kitchen and The Chatterbox regularly. Check their schedules.
  4. I hate cigars. Probably because most of the ones people smoke are cheap and smell like burning poo.
  5. Or you can listen to the whole album on Rhapsody. http://www.rhapsody.com/gary-burton/astor-...tango-excursion
  6. Wouldn't work anyway, Chuck. Unless those rumors of you being so old you have sand for blood are false. Today I went shootin' with my brother. I've never used a firearm before and I just wanted to have the experience. A good friend and his brother have a nice collection of small arms. We went to a public shooting range where there were some kind of funny local yokels (nice people, but a little disconcerting in that they own things like a .44 Magnum and an SKS rifle), and had a good time. Interesting sociological study there. Afterwards, my bro and I went to my sister's and hung out with family. Ribs, burgers, and hotdogs. Yum. Fun day. Zora's first day of Kindergarten is tomorrow. Wow. Can't believe she's starting school. To say she's excited is the year's biggest understatement.
  7. Tamas, your best bet would be to contact Hammond Tech Support. Ray Gerlich is the head of Tech Support here in the US. You could start with him. rgerlich (at) hammondorganco (dot) com
  8. Patience. For instance, I don't have the attention span to read that whole article while surfing Facebook and watching my DVR.
  9. That's what the pedals are for!

  11. Me too but the problem is that this board software doesn't distinguish between embedding video html and malicious html. It opens the door for a lot of trouble.

  13. He can't be any worse than Darko. Or Kwame.
  14. That's because it is being taken over by lame local blues societies and foundations that have very limited ideas as to what "real" blues is. It's the same problem with jazz. You box it in, away from sunlight and air, and it dies. The biggest problem I'm having right now in regards to organissimo is the fact that the term "jazz" is a four-letter word to most bookers and management. And with just cause.
  15. Hope you didn't pay him much; shit you could've done that yourself! Seems like he could've saved your "document" files like pics and such.
  16. They say it's going to be nasty this winter. Wouldn't you know this is the year that Zora is starting Kindergarten. I am a bit worried. I'm wondering if perhaps we should have her vaccinated. EDIT: Just googled it and realized there is no actual vaccination for children. Oh well. I hope her immune system is up to snuff. She's a pretty tough kid.
  17. Seems like we played "So What" on a gig not too long ago. Somebody requested it. Yes, it sounds just dandy on organ. Most standards sound just fine on organ. I like playing Song For My Father and Willow Weep For Me on organ. Hundreds of others. It's all good!
  18. Never heard of them but they look pretty legit to me: http://www.kraftmusic.com/about/ Maybe give them a ring?
  19. Can he play changes yet? Happy Birthday to one of my favorite musicians.
  20. As I was reading this thread I was thinking the above. Then I see I wrote the above two years ago. My mind is already failing. I still need to dig this book out and revisit it.
  21. So I finally got my first check from Amazon.de and I can't cash it anywhere because nobody wants to cash a check in euros. It's from the Deutsche Bank branch in France. If I endorsed the check and sent it to a member, hopefully from France, could you cash it and paypal me the money less any fees? Thanks!
  22. Any more personal insults and this thread is going bye-bye. I don't have the time to constantly monitor it.
  23. Those stats don't really jive with Google Analytic's stats. I don't think they are "seeing" the forum.
