  1. I don't know. Why don't we ask him? B-) It's not gonna happen with my dial-up. I'll listen to it at Jim's on Sunday.
  2. I like the scene where Snoopy is mocking Lucy during her rant. Cracks me up everytime, especially when he jumps up on her head and mimics a vulture for no reason. What can I say? My wife's favorite part is when all the kids start dancing for no apparent reason in the middle of Charlie Brown's rant on directing. Every kid has a different dance and each one is goofy. She cracks up every time at that scene! I forgot about that! Another good'un.
  3. I've been generally happy with the instrument cables, but then I haven't really shopped around lately.
  4. Any one of those looks like a strong enough opponent.
  5. I'm burnin', I'm burnin', I'm burnin' a dobe.
  6. It's twelve bars, but according to the liners, with different changes.
  7. I like the scene where Snoopy is mocking Lucy during her rant. Cracks me up everytime, especially when he jumps up on her head and mimics a vulture for no reason. What can I say?
  8. Is that like another pumpkin-and-onions thing?
  9. Did they really do that??
  10. What, Al? No Ray Coniff Singers?
  11. The milanos are great, and I don't buy them either. Not a big fan of hershey's or caramel, so I probably wouldn't dig the caramel kisses. My new favorite treat are these date cookies that I buy at the middle eastern restaurant I frequent. Yum.
  12. ...although, it would probably help to not look like a, uh, "rocket scientist".
  13. I saw in interview with him were he was talking about the time he spent at Berklee. One comment cracked me up. He said, "I wanted to be the kind of guitarist that made other guitarists say, 'Man, that guy is better than me.'" As to the question in the title of your thread; it's not what you know, it's who you know...
  14. I think it is. I've only heard them live; don't have any of the albums. They are worth the effort to see.
  15. Hope you're enjoying a glass of scotch and the cigar of your choice! B-)
  16. Correction: John Staten is the man.
  17. I thought John Stanton was their drummer.
  18. A good example of the ability of musicians (and other artists, no doubt) to lead the culture.
  19. So that's how you get that thing!
  20. Haven't been listening as much to ethnic music lately. The last thing I did get into was The Wish, by Hamza El Din. Loved it, and the other two I have by him.
  21. Ever hear of the alto player Andrew Speight? From Sydney, iirc. He was the director of jazz studies at MSU when Jim and I were there.
  22. The crowd went wild.
  23. Let us know what you think of it!
