  1. How'd you know he was referring to me?
  2. Larry is quickly becoming a very good friend of ours, as well!
  3. I've thought about this thread lately, as I keep dreaming about all these epic battles against the forces of nature, and last night, of a force of evil. One recent dream had me and Jim driving in his van (the one we always take to gigs), only down a snow-covered trail, like in the woods behind my house. It was already rough sledding, and then, to make matters worse, it seemed we were being hunted by a lioness. We got stuck and got out of the van, and then the lion attacked. My only weapon was a wooden chair (don't know where I got that from, and it didn't come with a whip, unfortunately ). It worked pretty well for a while; everytime the lion would leap at me, I would crouch low, use the chair to redirect the lion's momentum, and send her right over the top of me. As the dream ended, it looked like she was hip to that trick, and it wasn't going to work this time... Otherwise, it's been volcanoes, rivers, rodents, and I can't remember what else!
  4. I have four different kinds of green tea in my house right now, and I can definitely tell the difference in flavor between them. It took me a little while to appreciate those differences, however. I saw an article the other day about the taste buds of Americans are dulled because we are constantly eating the saltiest or the sweetest foods.
  5. Doesn't "GreenTea" have something to contribute to this thread?
  6. Have a great one, Paul! We'll see you sometime soon. :rsmile:
  7. I'm with you on the daily green tea, but I don't have an answer to your question. There's got to be some good shops in S.F. I get mine at a supermarket in an ethnically diverse neighborhood, and also at World Market, of which there is one at 2552 Taylor Street San Francisco, CA 94133 (415) 928-6200 You could probably do better than that, I'm guessing.
  8. You must have looked those lyrics up because I can't understand but a fraction of what that joker is saying with all that echo on it!
  9. also, When Elephants Dream of Music
  10. This mirrors my situation. My wife was in the hospital for the entire month of October (she's out now, and doing okay), and during that time, I turned on the tube maybe twice at home. I just generally feel better when it's off. And I have to say, there's one bill that really pisses me off every month, and that's the cable bill. Almost $500 a year for the priviledge of watching commercial tv. But I deal with it...
  11. That's good. And this one's hilarious: There was a power outage at a department store yesterday. Twenty people were trapped on the escalators.
  12. I bought some batteries... but they weren't included... so I had to buy them again.
  13. If by that you mean from New Jersey, not quite. He was a Detroit guy.
  14. Just placed an order for the first album.
  15. Man, that's a drag.
  16. Really! No cartoon ninja beavers on my screen.
  17. A guy holding a beaver skull. Found it doing a google image search on "beaver fever" (I was hoping to find a still from the ren and stimpy episode of the same name). I thought it was funny....
  18. Hey Jon - I hope my post above didn't hurt your feelings! It's an interesting graphic, but I couldn't help but zero in on my nose. I thought it was the second coming of W.C Fields!
  19. Hey man, have a heart - that's the only thing keeping food on the table for the former members of Europe!
  20. Fascinating....
  21. Chuck, his F# absolutely KILLS!!!
