  1. A Thanksgiving tradition in my family is a brunch of Eggs a la Suisse. Had that this morning along with some homemade applesause, and a nice bottle of Riesling. On the stereo, which turned out to the be the perfect choice: Paul McKee Just got back from a walk in the beautiful woods of northern Michigan. A perfect sunny day here. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  2. Wow. Interesting cat!
  3. My back-in-high school nightmares usually involved not being able to remember my locker combination.
  4. Rossini's Barber of Seville, Michigan Opera Company. It was excellent. Jossie Perez as Rosina - she's hot. The orchestra was top-notch.
  5. I'll be visiting with my parents at their home in northern Michigan. Not a whole lot to do there this time of year, but that's okay.
  6. They're glad it ain't them.
  7. Elvis wasn't totally off the mark; James Brown has been known to pull some pretty jive-ass stunts from time to time. And Ray Charles was blind, iirc.
  8. Shows how much I know. Thought this guy was a 'bone player or something. -_-
  9. Dan's post should have started, "to completely alter Larry's thought..."
  10. That was the basis for my sarcastic one-word post earlier.
  11. That's cool, but you missed our rendition of Como En Vietnam!! FWIW, I personally wouldn't buy any dinky condos at an all-you-can-eat noodle bar, in Berwyn or anywhere else.
  12. It's a grainy clip of what may or may not be Jerry Seinfeld leaving the Ed Sullivan Theater and ignoring someone near the camera who's repeatedly asking him "What did Michael say?" before getting into a limo.
  13. Thrilling. That's why I posted it dude... I guess I should have added one of those silly faces to add to the comic effect. Well yeah, that's where I figured you were coming from -- guess I should have posted a smiley, too?
  14. Jim is the only member of the band whose playing conjures up vision of monkeys and such.
  15. You obviously meant Jim, not Joe here.
  16. Either we're all space cadets, or you didn't introduce yourself! I hope it was the latter, because we were on the lookout for you. Glad you did make it, though.
  17. Well, maybe you should have a talk with this organist I know who doesn't seem to be too down with it ...
  18. No "type", I guess, just friends who, by inclination, are people I know would respond to it. Don't know if my experience is typical, but I've had better luck getting female friends into this than male friends.
  19. I hear you. Routes has held up very well for me. I especially enjoy playing it for people who I know are going to like it.
  20. Recently aquired 4 Seasons. Last night, I was completely absorbed by the groove in Chasing After the Sun, the track 2, disc 2 version. Couldn't help but pick up a shaker and join in on that party! Really like some of the other stuff I'm hearing there, too, like Chances. Optimista will be coming, as well, as soon as Tower can locate a copy for me.
  21. Let us know what you think of it.
  22. Conclusion: music was born slippery!
