  1. organissimo swings, catesta SINGS!
  2. Good question. No one springs to mind.
  3. Jesus! Actually, an employee of Elderly asked me exactly that question when I was there on Monday trying out that Alleycat. The way he put it was, "do you use a rock pick?" I said... what? He then brought out these really fat picks (which I had tried once and didn't like), explaining that he felt the pick I was using took the "jazz" out of the sound. Uh yeah, okay... I use "heavy" picks ( the Peavey ones that look like mother-of-pearl say 1.00mm on 'em). p.s. GHS SUCKS! HA!
  4. Every time I see this thread title on the main page I think it's supposed to be followed by "(such and such) sings!"
  5. Beautiful! We have almost no snow at all in L.A. (Lansing Area yuk yuk).
  6. GHS sucks! D'Addario 11's for me. D'Addario's on the Wechter, too, but I haven't tried any other nylon strings, so I'm open to any suggestions there.
  7. Apparently Tony was, too!
  8. I voted for Oregon by mistake.
  9. Almost never!
  10. What are you, a gearhead or something? Hofner Jazzica Classic Ibanez Artist Wechter Pathmaker (nylon string) and of course, Epiphone Alleycat, as soon as it arrives. I still have my foist guitar, an Alverez steel string acoustic, bought new in 1978.
  11. Is that your way of saying we need to put out another cd? :rsly:
  12. Any day now!
  13. No problem. I have a Peavey Delta Blues (a 1-15) that I keep at the rehearsal space at Jim's. I sometimes use that on the more laid back gigs. For the other stuff, I use a Boss GT-6 floor unit as my pre-amp, which goes stereo out to a Carvin dual channel 50 watt tube amp, and into a Butler 2X12 cabinet. I also have a Fender Champ at home, although I almost always play acoustically at home, even if I'm playing my Ibanez.
  14. Yep, that's the one. It sounded fine, although I can't compare to the others, not having heard them. But I think it would work well in most situations.
  15. And you thought I was the "dreamy mystic".
  16. TWU is reviewed this week in.... People Magazine! 3 out of 4 stars!!!
  17. Whoa... I want to caress her neck...
  18. Now that the newbie hazing is out of the way....
  19. So you liked that Holdsworth axe, David? They look pretty sweet.
  20. I got it!
  21. Oh definitely! I had some dark chocolate with my tea after breakfast this morning!
  22. Thanks, oh devil-on-my-shoulder!
