  1. I remember being glued to the TV when this was shown late 1995 in the UK. I don't think it's ever been repeated since. I'd like to watch it again.
  2. Well done Paul . Hard work and good karma pays off. Hope things continue on this upward turn.
  3. Brilliant! Pics and everything. Congratulations to both the band and Barak for letting this happen. Onwards and upwards!
  4. saw that on a van (obviously!) in Tyneside last week. Someone had replied on the other door: "She is...."
  5. All the very best Noj. Have a great day!
  6. I've just finished a bottle of what is probably my enduring favourite; my old slippers ---- Relaxin' With The Miles Davis Quintet etc... Tim Taylor Landlord. Not the strongest or hoppiest or fruitiest ale you'll ever taste but all the right qualities in the right amounts. My lovely wife stopped to pick some up on the way from work. Now though, a cup of tea.
  7. My suggestion, since Linn has dropped the production of his entry level cd player. I've got one of these, had it a year. It's really, really good. CD fights vinyl pretty hard with the CD31 in my house. Really tough as you say, even poorly remastered CDs sound good. All my CDs sound so much better compared to the Marantz CD6000Se I had before. It's about £1500 which will be over budget here though. Well there's always the next one down. the CD21; still very, very good.
  8. My wife is coming with me to the stero shop tomorrow to check out the Paradigm Monitor 7s. She wants little bookself speakers that she could hide in the living room & is concerned about the size of these. She suggests I liquor her up first. just be aware that some (most) speakers need a bit of space around them; don't suffocate them! Of course, don't mention this until you've got them home!
  9. Indeed. For just over £1500 you could have a full Rega system; Brio amp, Apollo CDP and R3 speakers. All good stuff and looks the business too.
  10. Here's a really nice option. My friend Joel just bought one of these a couple of months ago--I was mightily impressed. Creek I had a listen to one of those too. Very neutral sounding. I would consider one.
  11. I had that Rava in my hand today at a not-too-bad price. However, I'm a bit skint at the mo and would really like more Crispell if anything.
  12. Have a hot, Latin one Mike!
  13. Weird!!! I've just put my bottle back in the pantry and opened a 660ml bottle of Greene King IPA instead. I need the volume tonight.
  14. Captions please...... Deep Trout.
  15. Captions please......
  16. All the best mate!
  17. Have a great day Hans!
  18. Have a great time while you're there. It's a beautiful city, especially the old town . Shame I'm too far away at short notice, I'd love to meet you lads.
  19. All the very best John. Have a great day.
  20. Why? Has he got a pubic hair caught on the turntable?
  21. BTW, Jim. Is there any way of getting money to you without PayPal getting their mitts on a chunk? And, if you don't mind me asking, do album sales help in the case of the forum software $$$$?
  22. Damn, I didn't know that. Anyhow I've just made my pitiful contribution; bad month, my sax is up for sale

    ECM SMOOTH 'JAZZ'

From what I've heard of him over that period nothing is close to Star IMO. I think Neighbourhood would've been a ... ahem...better.... album without him.
