"Yep Rock Heresy" - Slim Gaillard -
that "Pigs on the Wing" was a nightly collegiate lullaby when that lp came out (thank goodness for the fully automatic turntable). Usually after Doritos and a pack of double chocolate Archways. :eye:

I'd heard the cut "The Pygmy" and had to find out more. I find that the speaker of the house who casts a vote for re-issues is The Magnificent Goldberg - and he will expound upon this most eloquently ? Sure there's some convention here and the well worn popular covers that might chalk 'em up to just juke-box one offs and the doggetty sound that at times gets hockey rinky but this here party's Zamboni runs on grease. Seeing that nothing much exists in print one can get a primary education here.

A suggestion for a digital camera

Just picked up one of these. In GREEN! Olympus 790SW Got it much cheaper than the norm of the internets pricing so you need to look. Had a moisture issue with the last camera - a Fuji Finepix - and never was Moby Dickin' around with it! WTF I say. S o this seemed a better way to go than to have constant worry about minor moisture attacking the board. Screen in the back is nice and big and the buttons aren't so microscopic. Fast between shots. Supposedly you can drop it from about a meter and they say you can snorkle with it! hmmm? -

Our combo boston terrier chihuahua ranks up there as one of the smartest. Yesterday morning I put him on his lead for the morning constitution and went back into the kitchen to finish the kids' breakfast. He starts barking like nobody's bizness and I stop flipping hash browns to go reprimand him (squirrels?). I get out onto the back steps to reel him in and he flies back out into the yard at the biggest ass coyote I've ever seen standing about twenty feet away. Well fed big bellied wolf of a thing that pretty much has no regard for the fact that a human is yelling and running at him. Takes his good old time sauntering off into the ravine next to the house. I have since translated the barking: "Holy S#!@ Dad, get yer ass out here right now cause a huge F*@%&$! coyote is about to eat me!" Scary stuff and I thought I had to keep a diligent eye out for the fisher cats.

The Amen Corner

Amen! -
That cut for Bruce's burbling bass and Pullen's unbelievable knuckle runs is always a favorite when trying to entertain open eared company after they have been properly libated. Totally different and a much bettered take than the Escalator version. Has to be one of my all time desert island one offs! The rest of that disc is mostly drivel and one that I see from time to time in the used stores for probably less than the screen printed type-oed jewel box is worth.

you got me curious... That Paul the Shiv provides some excellent accompaniment! I watched a whole raft of Waits-tube a month or so back. Make sure to check him on Fernwood. Classic! http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=-gwUtEEjZJ8&...feature=related
