  1. Can't wait for "Longest Yard III" ... Art Schleister, Maurice Clarett and OJ in the backfield!!
  2. I, for one, can't stand that old redundant house beat. It's amost comic that it can actually prompt a dancefloor. For me the latin side of the house with all the smells of good cookin' is the only place to congregate. FWIW I was listening to a Gilles Peterson podcast and he made mention that a new Nuyorican Soul is supposedly in the works (that's not redundant). The first is essential for any collection - Hilton Ruiz on the B-3 along w/ Eddie Palmieri and Tito not to mention India with a good cigar! - and now Jim's got me wondering about the 2CD experience.
  3. I'd bet this is $olely some DMG thing all around.
  4. pheww. sorry, must be that PayPal sucking my seratonin again.
  5. Always two sides to the story! On this we can all agree. wackorolleyesganized. I thought I presented BOTH sides here but was not so succinct I gather. Our wonderfully slow postal service took do time with the package and surprise I was hit with a refund. Thing is that he left feedbback about how great whatever it was was plenty of time before the dispute closed and I had to pull him into the debate with PayPal so he could then vouch for me. He made out the best with the product AND the money he paid for it.
  6. I had a guy file an un-received item PP dispute AND he got his money back - PayPal sucked it right outta my account - a good week after he posted postive feedback about the item he "received". I had to go round and round w/ PayPal with the buyer as my witness to get the transaction overturned. Finally had to call and give the analyst a link to the feedback forum for him to give me that "one time complimentary credit". Bastards gotcha by the shorthairs, they do.
  7. Knock on wood I've only had use for this on occasion when under a plan a few years ago. I was hesitant at first but just could not swing the proice of the meds stateside. Went with "CanadaPharmacy" as I recall and had no problems at all. Simply faxed over the script or might have had the office do it for me. Arrived safely, no worries. I believe some heart meds need to be strictly moinitored up front to get to the proper balance required for your specific problem so I'd wait it out till I knew excatly what is needed. Good luck with the upcoming.
  8. Deadly Weapons I see this is new to emusic. Wacky record that I've had for some time. At least load "Shockproof" for Zorn playing some "hard work".
  9. I knew some guys that would do it and sit around and listen to Leon Russell. Never could figure out either not to mention understanding both at the same time.
  10. and Rutigliano was a four letter word.
  11. I'd like the Raiders to apologize to Brian Sipe for that Red Right 88 thing!
  12. I'd like to apologize for Lucy who never ever apologized to Charlie Brown. Having my neighbor/bestest friend be the hot shot high school kicker when I was a kid gave me plenty of practice from her end - and no soccer style back then, straight up flat toed spikes and I still have all my fingers. Now I live near the Pats but will always pull for the Browns and not just because Marion Motley shopped at the same grocery store.
  13. whhoooof ... sampled 'em and after they were finished iTunes segued into a tune by The Three Sounds. how'd you hear of these guys?
  14. I think they are called "univenture" sleeves - the ones with the soft gauzy stuff in 'em. bags unlimited has these in all sorts. not in the EU but they ship free here so I'd bet they be reasonable.
  15. http://youtube.com/watch?v=p2zRGQX2QLo
  16. I imagine that the group on the Knit compilation was probably the Jazz Passengers, in which case, yes, these are the same guys (well, some of them). See above for the exact i.d. of this track... Well my guess of the "Wiggles" (that Australian group of guys in primary colored sweaters who are bigger than Raffi) was a bit off and now to find out who this is. I should have listened closer. I think I'd even heard a piece on this on NPR or some such. Never heard of Napoleon Maddox before or that might be a pseudonym(?). Have plenty of Roy with the LL but never much cared for his cutesiness on his own "arty" pieces or with that Blonde gal. The guy is quite a player but seems to have been powered out by Michael Blake from playing in one of the greatest modern bands that seem to have gone the by and by with the leader now thinking he can draw. A few years back Roy and Fowlkes headed up the backing band for The Big Apple Circus - taking your kid to the big top and digging the band, now THAT was cool!
  17. Amy Doghouse! Gotta love a dog in a costume!
  18. Now, any commentary on Nicole Willis and the Soul Investigators? A toss of the same retro-motown-neo-soul as The Dap Kings backed ladies but with a bit more Smokey Mayfield Robinson in the genes. She's a bit of a weird tone at times and her high notes are somewhat elusive. Finnish Funk w/ some mp3samples check her "Werd Up" on emusic.
  19. eBay! forgot to tell that that single is on eBay and ends Thursday. You NEED that!!
  20. For Dan: Nice piece on some musical origins at the old ballyard. "Tessie, Sweet Caroline, Dirty Water" and Tony C.
  21. Her new video w/o her. 'cept you got to wait a minute before the song actually starts. I love this tune. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RI_xYIxUTE0

  23. I doubt Curt's going anywhere except to Maynard
