  1. Just me and that Cerf guy who created the internet share first names - but he shortens his.
  2. That's a great set list. Two hours plus is how it should be. Thought I'd post again a shot I made from the last time I saw him.
  3. hopefully you still have his address and Halloween is right around the corner!
  4. Got 'em all and plan to play them - tonight, a favorite Ethiopian restaurant is in the plans! (Man, I wish I were at Frankfurt's Lalibela restaurant!) So what might be your most recommended amongst those? I've been listening to some smatterings from emusic (before I knew of the recent Jarmusch popularity/craze of the genre). I like that arabic scaling with some funk in the bag.
  5. and damn if I didn't hear "... Lay It In The Cut" on some commercial for maybe household goods or somethin' this past weekend.
  6. Eugene Blacknell! "Gettin' Down" and damn greazzy! just sampled a bit but runs from stone dirty funk to bar honkin' to chicken blues to and then some. put some extra vinegar in the sauce.
  7. just had to share ... it's drivin me mad, it's makin me crazy!
  8. I recall that - Zoltan / brian123... on eBay - had a copy of that and other s released that same week up for auction that he advertised here a couple weeks back. You might try to contact him off board? But I believe his price was $25 for starters and then $6 plus for shipping, so already beyond the budget.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsvFu750VQ4 Actually, I don't mind them in small doses. What's really cool is they quote a little bit of Steve Miller's "Jungle Love" in that piece.
  10. and now another ... Revisited Instrumentals
  11. Thanks for the tip, Chris. Never knew of this one. YouTubed my way thru some of that and will try to watch the whole deal. Wow! Since he only "eats" once in the episode I wonder if it will ever see the rerun light of day? More Frontline than foodie.
  12. I can only envision Ither of those to 'Spy vs Spy' as the soundtrack - "Mob Job", maybe, but makes a bit more interesting imagery than some Kip Hanrahanrahan thru the walls. Languid squamousilliciousness a tough sell with the former. I sure do wish I had seen them Spy gigs w/ Sanborn, Berne and Zorn fronting two basses and Baron and Vachter going like a Harley parade. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU-iR7kokE8 closest i could find.
  13. no no no ... you gotta go out and grab that new iTouch version that WiFis synchromatically to what's being played over the din of high pitched foam steaming when you go into StarBucks to take a pee. Just check this handy video and try not to let the afternoon's espresso rage drive you into wanting to reach into the screen and rub poi in this guy's hair!
  14. Wonder where U. of Akron got the Zips? Goooooo Zips! Rubbers and if ya haven't smelled Akron in it's heyday ... phewww!
  15. Thass nuthin'. Just wait till powerhouse University of Akron Zips take out the Buckeyes this Saturday!
  16. I smell lawsuit!! In order to defend myself, I'm going to have to de-pose all the Victoria's Secret models. Good luck, isn't that what they do for a living?
  17. It's Evan, John's brother and Lizards pianist. Interesting in his own right and listening to snips some of them tango tarentellas inspred BackYardigans tunes is the give away. His "Selling Water by the Side of the River" is a great album that lead to his soundtracks for a couple Begnini featured fims.
  18. heh. See edc Clem stickin' it to 'em in the comments forum of that daily - under an assumed name/personality of course - he's not just Brooklyn.
  19. edit too late ... listening to that 12 minute track. looks like the mp3s is tease and the album / cd next week.
  20. "Percussion Madness Revisited" emusic new release link of remixes. edit: not just a remix thing at all. a whole new look at some tunes and a healthy addition of more. (check that brief solo @ 3:20 of the long MAW-esque "Free My Soul" and tell if that's Ruiz ? a bit too recent , still beautiful!) nice little (inter)view here.
