  1. I am sure there is a good reason for it , but when doing a search, and you use a 3 letter word (Like when I have tried to pull up old DVD threads, or just tried to do an XTC search) this message comes up... The error returned was: One or all of your search keywords were below 4 characters or you are searched for words which are not allowed, such as 'html', 'img', etc, please go back and increase the length of these search keywords or choose different keywords. If you don't know who started the thread, or another word to toss in, what to do???? Can that be turned down to 3 characters, or will that cause the board to crash?
  2. Not a fan of vocalese....Those who don't like the soprano...listen to much Sidney Bechet??? Just curious......

  6. Umm, you know that is the same score Weizy got, don't you! And.... The exact same score I got the first time! Then I got worse! ...then I red lighted the bastard Then I was having a so-so round and somehow managed a 0.063 for the big one which gave me a .218 purely by accident....I blame Greg and a cordless mouse...yeah, that must be the problem...
  7. That would be a nice house not that long ago!!!! Even with DSL, that page took forever to download! I've got that Pink charger, the one that you prop the whole body up....can I get a few Mosaics for it?
  8. Yep, well known Artie Shaw aficionados Sean Astin and Norah Jones came out to show a b&w photo of him, and to say he had gotten the lifetime achievement award! No music was played. Then they quickly dispensed with some award to Mary McPartland(Not the lifetime achievement award, and she wasn't there either) so they could give out the best new artist Grammy. Fountains of Wayne was up for this, they have only been around since the mid 90's! Gosh, I wish I could have watched the rest of the show....but the weather channel was on at the same time....
  9. Sounds like we missed a very cool show!

  17. I found the 1993 cd at Media Play for $3.33, so I can't complain about the price, but damn, it sounded like Coleman had a bad reed, which I just can't believe! Just an annoying buzz when he was playing....anyone else notice this? Is the sound much better on the remastered cd? Thank goodness I also found Hollywood Stampede at the same time, sound is so much better!
  18. Joan looking a bit Asian....

  20. Have always loved George Hurrell's work...
  21. Man, I wish more companies would do what Universal is doing with the Abbott and Costello films. 8 movies on two discs and all for less than 20 bucks! Of course, the Best film they made A & C Meet Frankenstein, retails for $24.95 They sure saved on the cover art, eh??? But damn, sure would like to see more sets like this! To get 4 Sherlock Holmes (with Basil Rathbone) films in a cheap looking box set(They were restored by UCLA) is around $60. And there will be 4 sets of these. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...?v=glance&s=dvd
