Amazing, the braves got Dan Uggla for Omar Infante and Mike Dunn. I love Infante, but no power to speak of, and some were saying he would go back to being a super sub. Mike Dunn(thanks for him Ghost, Marty, etc! ) was basically our 4th best lefty last year...so, to get a 30 HR 2nd baseman without giving up any of the elite arms in the minors...Frank Wren should get GM of the year right now.

Yep, it appears so! As the two teams lined up for the play, Garza loudly told the center that the officials had called for the ball to be moved up five yards because of a penalty, and the center then casually handed the ball back to Garza. The other players on the field stood and watched as Garza casually strolled past the line, then the linebackers, and then took off in the secondary. http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/local_news/water_cooler/trick-football-play-goes-viral-wews1289310567774 -
That's a joke right? Useful career advice. Go out and get an arm transplant and get some of those magic beans that Jack got from the beanstalk. Brad,Check out the web address. Perhaps they have gotten too good at faking stories! Also I noticed this from the article.... Use your six-month break from work every year wisely, and take some time to recharge and be ready to do your best when work starts again in April. Whoever wrote this is not a big fan of the game, perhaps just watches the playoffs....

Don't think you have to be a fan of hers to find it interesting. First off, she does NOT sound 88! Voice wise, or mind wise. I find it so interesting hearing people like her that seem to (almost)never want to return to the work that was such a big part of their lives at one time... some interesting stories are tossed in about her making her first movie, a very serious car accident she was in as a teenager, Sinatra, etc, etc, etc...The host is annoying at times, but she must like him a lot, since she rarely does anything like this. http://culture.wnyc.org/articles/features/2010/oct/30/celebrating-hollywood-legend-doris-day/

Oh yeah, I gotta see that! What's the deal with MLBN anyway? We've had it on our menu for over a year now, but I always though that it was a premium service that was like the NBA package - that it was a portal to team-specific pay services or something like that. Now i found out that, no, it's not a premium service (at least not here) and no, it's not team specific, and yes, it does go 24/7/365, so...YEAH! Is it (probably) just because I live in a MLB market that this is not a premium channel, or what? And one more thing, please - not having really locked into the game for a few years now until this August, what's up with all the broken bats? Is the wood that much crappier these days? Seems kind of out-of-control to me... MLB network isn't available on DISH, but is on Direct TV. I switched after Fox sports and DISH got into a pissing contest over the last 3 games of the season, and I didn't get to see the last games(I would have truly lost me shit if the Braves had lost on the last day, didn't even get to see Bobby Cox's last game-Hate his style of managing, but here forever) so after their stupid offer of other sports channels I didn't want, plus getting to save about $30 a month for a year, went to Direct. Can't wait to see this 1960 game!

If you don't get, perhaps you shouldn't judge it. I assume you then don't judge anything you don't get???

Congrats to Goodspeak, Jim R, WorldB3 , and all the other Giants fans! And to all the Rangers fans, you have been beyond classy this post season, give yourselves a pat on the back! Your team will be back in the playoffs for years to come. And Goodspeak, no more badmouthing David Righetti, the Beard, or J.Sanchez! They are all very good! You can keep on bashing Zito though!

No offense, but I truly don't get tattoos, especially on women. I just never have looked at someone , say Audry Hepburn and thought, you know, she's alright, but what she really needs is a tattoo over her boobs. I did think she needed to eat a bit more.... If they faded after a year or two, I'd say, knock yourself out...but some people are not thinking long term, especially in the placement of them. Sides of necks, chest area, sides of legs. Saw some friend of a friend on facebook, and this young lady had "The futures uncertain, and the End is always near" written out on her side...ok. Kinda sorta on the same subject of not thinking down the road at all...have you seen these extreme ear lobe holes lately? Not merely bullet sized, but silver dollar sized!!!! How is a plastic surgeon going to fix that shit up?? Double

Man, I hated this movie! And I love a well done action flick. Has to be one of Bruce Willis' worst movies, right down there with Last Man Standing I remember the writer was paid a then record amount of money ($1.75 Mil, just looked it up for the exact dollar amount) to write the screenplay. Funny, that writer (Shane Black) basically got out of writing screenplays after a few more huge paydays...since he was not really liking what he had to do, and everyone was harping on how much he got. Still, even if he was paid a dollar for this one, it was too much.

Seems they are closing more, from what an "hourly manager" (What is that Ghost?) says, stores that have leases ending, they are not renewing. http://www.nj.com/news/times/regional/index.ssf?/base/news-21/1288071923269120.xml&coll=5

I'm sure about 29 teams will gladly take him off your hands. It's two bad starts though, not 3. 10-10, 7 and a third innings, 1 run against the Braves. 10-17, 6 innnings, 2 earned runs against the Phils.
