  1. Now you tell me! LOL! Apparently Dave has me on his ignore list! I must too, sorry about that!
  2. Very cool, wish I had thought of this! Milwaukee, Milwaukee, gosh, for the life of me, I can't think of a single reason they would get 2 t-shirts, and Rollie Fingers image, instead of Oakland!
  3. Nice story! Too bad that wasn't filmed, eh???
  4. Don't cry if you missed it....you could have blinked and missed it, they performed a so-so song for about a minute and a half, if that....
  5. Called Pillow to Post, with Sidney Greenstreet and Ida Lupino....from 1945 , a supposed Screwball comedy (sure never heard of it) but should be worth checking out for the song or two Louis and Dorothy do!
  6. She has a very large belly button ring!
  7. Me too! Glad that wasn't the case! As a weird child, I watched and seemingly enjoyed the Bob Newhart show, then watched Newhart, then Bob, and Lord help me, I even liked George and Leo! My late Mother watched Desperate Housewives , and even though he was just on a few shows, he was just hilarious....can't seem to find a clip, and I won't be able to describe it well, but someone asks him to do a favor for her, and she says in a kind way, will you do it?? He starts to nod yes, but says no way....perfect comedic timing mechanism deep inside of him.
  8. Living social has a deal where if you donate $5 they will also donate $5...at least in Atlanta, but I imagine it's nationwide as well http://livingsocial.com/deals/32115-5-for-10-donation-to-red-cross-relief-efforts?msdc_id=34&ref=DCDeal031611_1_5651email
  9. Sure glad they caught it early!
  10. Japan Earthquake: before and after pictures.... 'They've lost control': French claim Japan is hiding full scale of nuclear disaster as TWO more reactors heat up Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1366670/Japan-earthquake-tsunami-French-claim-scale-nuclear-disaster-hidden.html#ixzz1Gm9IZwmi
  11. This sure isn't good news.... Japan abandons stricken nuke plant over radiation
  12. Thanks everyone! Well, the 4 that have wished me a happy birthday this year....screw the rest of use guys! Best gift I can get is the gift of the internet! AT&T, my soon to be ex ISP, was down from Weds til late yesterday! Calls got me automated messages saying soon, the next day for sure, service would be restored. Then the next day came, and no service. Bleh! Anyway, time to find out what huge(Small) gift is inside an envelope. Perhaps Jessica Biel has given me her # this year...she'd better do it soon, before she gets to be too old for me!
  13. Indeed! He's on a lot of those z list celeb roasts on the comedy channel...will try not to derail this thread, but the crap I have heard him and others say on them, is so far beyond unfunny, it's amazing. They take a perverse pride in kicking folks when they are down....They have the right to say it, but today there is no filter with some "comedians" Glad he has lost his one real gig. I see David had some links to donate a page or so back, here is a direct one to help Japan via the Red Cross. https://american.redcross.org/site/Donation2?idb=0&5052.donation=form1&df_id=5052
  14. Then he's the best method actor ever... Will he live to see April????
  15. Jonah Jones in color, 1959 Fred Astaire TV special! go back one part to see beginning of first song More at 4:30 in this part
  16. Heh, inside joke! I had a brief, but torrid fling with the show when I was really desperate for something(anything) to watch while riding my stationary bike...DVR'ing the two shows they ran in syndication fit the bill. Actually, I think it's safe to say the cast around him is better than he is....most anyone could play Charlie, strangely enough. Perhaps they can bring back April Bowlby, in his place!
  17. Gosh, Derek & Minka are going to be spending the rest of their lives dusting. I forget her name, but some actress came into Charlie Chaplin's home one day and said, it's not home, but its much! Hey Mariner fans, you like to pick scabs off wounds that are healing, right??? http://bats.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/03/02/vizquel-is-a-reminder-of-what-might-have-been/
  18. You know who I really feel sorry for now? Lance Berkman. Poor guy. You mean the same Lance Berkman that trashed the Rangers a few weeks ago??? ;^) Well, he was right when he said this.... He also questioned the contract the club gave free agent third baseman Adrian Beltre.
  19. She was a lot of fun in Paleface and Son of Paleface.... R.I.P.
  20. Amazing the wax cylinder player was $75, and the Organ was only $27.45!
  21. Well, chances are DVD players will likely go the way of the VHS player, so we will all have to get Blu-ray players.... but I have no interest at this point in getting a player...or the discs....
  22. crazy, but part of the bankruptcy and was told all product had to get the Sharpie. experienced that last night. no CDs but the clerk slashed thru the barcode on my 40% off Packers Superbowl Sports Illustrated! I was tempted to put it back and take a pristine one on the way out. How stoopid, like I was going to return it!? My other periodicals had stickers with the bar-codes so no harm. Funny that folks were picking up 20% off books by the arm load when the Border's killer Amazon has them for another 20% cheaper still. Man, that is really dumb, never run into that from a store...well, stores like Tower and Media Play were closing all stores, and borders is keeping some stores around(for now) but what a way to piss people off.... I saw the same thing when Circuit City was closing, people buying DVD's by the basket, yet the prices at 20% off still weren't as good as you could get them at Amazon or Deepdiscount
  23. Have you just unplugged and plugged back in??? Amazing how many issues this can solve(sure works with Satellite boxes that don't pick up all channels) Do you still have the manual??? If not, it looks like you can download it here
  24. That's sad...I don't even know if it's the same store that I visited long before working at Borders(I was there in the 80's) but I remember it being 3 levels(I think) and having books I could never dream of seeing in Jacksonville Florida...
  25. Sounds like a real hardened criminal we are lucky to have off the streets
