  1. Spinning now after I picked up the re-release of Prince - Come on vinyl today because I was wanting to hear it and couldn't find my CD.
  2. That’s pretty disappointing but not unexpected. Sounds like they know the issue but don’t want to rectify it. Giving the download is the most cost effective remedy.
  3. I emailed Resonance on Friday regarding the CD issue. No response.
  4. Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet but William Parker - Crumbling In The Shadows Is Fraulein Miller's Stale Cake also Roberto Miranda - The Creator's Musician
  5. I got my Dorham in today. Went straight to track 7 and my player (Emotiva ERC-3) stopped at 0:59 and then started skipping. I'll rip it and see how that sounds. There sure is a lot of tape noise on the the track 7 I heard though. Was expecting it a little cleaner. Edit: Okay this is freaking bizarre. Track 7 on the CD sounds like ass but the rip sounds great. WTF is going on with this pressing?!?
  6. My sentiment is the same, which though I’ll be disappointed if I don’t get the LPs, I don’t feel like this was a malicious money grab. I partially preordered them in hopes it would lead to more releases.
  7. I noticed this as well when I went to see if there were any updates on my LP pre-orders.

    Gary Bartz

The solo on there goes the neighborhood’s On A Misty Night is my favorite solo of all time. It’s magic.
  9. Good to see there might be movement on my pre-order from last January.
  10. Is this the new RSD from resonance?
  11. Yeah. I’ve been in both of those bargain basements. I was on a bit of a time crunch but DG’s basement was a bit overwhelming in compactness and organization.
  12. I mean most of the series shipped so if it was a scam it was a terrible one. i preordered the 3 LPs from this summer. Bummer if I don’t get them but I’ve wasted money on worse dreams.

Masters All compositions & Arrangements Vinny Golia (Ninewinds) BMI About this album When Vinny Golia arrived in Los Angeles in 1973, soprano saxophone in hand, he chanced to meet local legends Horace Tapscott, John Carter, and Bobby Bradford, all of whom became mentors. Each of them took him under their wings, and Golia has spent his entire career paying forward their efforts. Can You Outrun Them? is proof on wax—signed, sealed, and delivered—that the years have not diminished his passion, his creativity, or his appreciation for his musical community. —Bret Sjerven, New York City, New York
  14. Finally got a copy of Improvisational Art Quintet with the bonus duet songs. I’ve been trying to find it for what feels like forever and missed in on Dusty’s site a couple weeks ago.
  15. I really want to complain about the time this series has taken but I still haven’t absorbed the music I have already. At least it’s not lost money and we will get it eventually. And so far the releases are quality in music and packaging.
  16. Blue Note is doing the same thing with a Tone Poets club. https://store.bluenote.com/pages/tone-poet-society
  17. Just got a pending delivery notice for today from Albuquerque. Should be something from Nimbus I suspect. edit: my suspicion was incorrect unfortunately.
  18. I haven't received the final set yet.
  19. I've been to this shop once, it was an unpleasant experience. Grilled upon entering about what I was looking for when it wasn't anything in particular. I just left.
  20. Fred Anderson Quartet - Vol. 1 (finally found for a reasonable price) Marvin Tate’s D-Settlement vinyl box set. Uptightly - S/T
  21. I’ll probably digitize the new record as soon as I get them if anyone want to hear samples.
  22. I sprung for the 3 new LPs. It’s just money I guess
