  1. I have to admit, of all the Grant Green albums I have, Am I Blue sounds to me by far the weakest. But I've only got four or five.
  2. Vic Dickenson!!! Would have been nice to see his name up there. I like him a lot. (Voted for Teagarden.)
  3. I was just about to say what a shame it is that Cecil Payne is dead. Glad to hear he's still alive. Can you split your vote four or five ways?
  4. Good man!
  5. Ah. I've heard the "Schoolhouse Rock" stuff (grew up on it actually) but haven't heard Dorough's 'jazz' material. And I like Frishberg. Though I can understand the idea of a little going a long way in his case.
  6. Most of my favorite bari players are deceased. I voted for Bluiett....though I've enjoyed Howard Johnson's hotel in the past.
  7. Manhattan Murder Mystery is my favorite "late" Woody Allen film (by which I guess I mean post-80s.) Nothing world-shaking here, but there's just something very pleasing and comfortable about it.
  8. Me neither, at least in a jazz context.
  9. And Dave Frishberg as well, although he's written some ok tunes, I guess. But for me, the list of worst begins w/Bob Dorough. Loved his production work with Spanky & Our Gang, though. Very nice stuff. But as a singer? #1 Worst says it all for me. So why's he not on the list? I've never heard Bob Dorough sing. Am I lucky?
  10. Why? That show is on T.V. constantly. No commercials! And it's only a buck each!
  11. VERY good deal Captain Sulu!
  12. "Mmmmm....quivering jelly...ahhhhhhhh..."
  13. Baked turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie. I hardly notice the other stuff. I believe it includes: Ham Salad Rice Crab (don't ask) Brocolli Rolls Blueberry creamcheese pie Ice cream If I go see a movie later on, it will probably be Spongebob Squarepants (or maybe The Incredibles a second time.)
  14. ...And why can't he adopt me???
  15. The number one song of all time is clearly "Buring Airlines Give You So Much More" by Eno, but I wouldn't expect RS to admit it.
  16. City Nights--Frank Morgan Nice album; no surprises, but solid music.
  17. Or how about "Quietown"----or "Snoozeville"?
  18. For a buck each I'd buy the Seinfeld box sets.
  19. I will have to pick this up.
  20. Last weekend, actually: "Brew Moore Quintet" Not bad.
  21. Trouble is they don't have anything anymore.
  22. I've been to Wal-Mart 3 or 4 times, always when visiting New England. It struck me as K-Mart on steroids. (And watch out for that roid-rage.)
  23. "One of the better ones?" Toy Story A Bug's Life Toy Story 2 Monsters, Inc. Finding Nemo Yeah, they're ALL good!! But my biggest favorites are Toy Story 2 and The Incredibles.
  24. In addition to all that talent, he sure was one dapper guy.
  25. One of the better recent Pixar offerings, though I like 'em all. If you like this, check out Brad Bird's other movie, The Iron Giant.
