  3. cheers for that......another one not to keep me awake at night worrying then! Actually I remember looking into this issue a while ago during my more obsessive/manic moments and I thought most of em had been covered by blue note/mosaic/chronological etc Think I also went through the newer Ruppli with a wants list and got not alot at all...hmm.....need to find useless list made at the time which I stored somewhere I would not forget.......DOH!

  9. Its get worse......over here you get the ones who examine for hours upon hours and then worse still, those who are undernourished and what a mini feast (eeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwww!) which is not fun to watch. Last but by no means least is the ones who pick and flick (usually in toilets or confined spaces)..oh my god..makes me want to yell howcouldyoudosuchaselfishfuckinthinglikethat! but as I am in the toilet, on my own, and they have gone it would be rather silly Picking's one thing-eatingand or flickin...barf!
  10. I thought all vinyl sounded whooshy!
  11. Just to bring the thread back up for air and to shout that my cd landed this weekend so I annoyed the hell out of the family by playing Jan Jan over and over again......Actually really liked this (yes it is a shame about the sound quality but its not too bad). The nice treat was hearing more Houston Person with Grant Green as I have the Real Thing tracks and this was added pleasure. I then gave my family the valuable and rare experience of having to compare Alive which was awesome and then Live at the Lighthouse which was also in the same vein. They all left muttering unmentionables about boogaloo stuff and so I thought I would treat myself to another listen....solid gone!
  12. yes I have the two Eddie Gales and the McDuff/Donaldson and the Reuben Wilson. Excellent all round in my humble opinion.

  18. Hey Conn...cool never was a US v EU thing for me just trying to lighten the atmosphere from last nights issues as I said earlier up the page "Seems a little sad that it degenerated into some anti EU thing I must admit. leaves a nasty taste in the mouth. need to stop this EU vs US rivalry"
  19. who is Mel Gibson? Bush is a much easier target ps thanks for the work warning nearly ran into trouble there
  20. oh goody goody ...not of course that I frequent that place of naughtiness! Look forward to seeing it Meanwhile (apols to those who have seen it) here is some Jimmy Smith in colour courtesy of YOUTUBE from the 60's http://youtube.com/watch?v=D4tMBjw6L2k&search=jimmy%20smith gettin his thang on btw imagine how Keith Jarrett would have dealt with the guys talking in the middle
  21. Except for the 25 Complete Commodore Vol 1-3 sets I still have for sale on EBAY......!!!! Joking aside I agree that that attitude. Did the industry no favours and if they were selling hot material then they deserve to pay the price as we would. A case in point for how things DO change is with the recent issues of the George Braith material via CD baby which I saw via here and snapped all 4 in a flash ......they would have taken years to appear over here and never in big shops Things change I guess and if George can market like this think how other could have in the past....think of it as an avenue for unreleased Big John Patton....sold by him and now he is dead, his family
  22. YEEEEEEEEEEEESSS I remember that and I also remember posting it...dunno if it was here or the other board or somewhere else Loved that cartoon Felt sorry for the US ever since!
