  1. Sandy, Just hang with us later this evening on live chat. It's like being in the same room.
  2. BF actually ponying up some funds? Hey, the live chat guys are always willing to help out!
  3. Thanks for the interest folks. It's going to Agg. I was on the verge of selling the Curtis Amy set (and still might,) but just couldn't part with it after putting on the music. How much more grease do I need?
  4. Jim's correct. You're likely to make more $ from me through a Bastards link as well. I'll preorder my BN Conns and RVGs through CD universe.
  5. One factor to consider as well is that lots of the old jazz catalog is being remastered. It sure has lowered the prices of secondary trading of imports and formerly oop titles.
  6. OK...my final price reduction for Carmell Jones Select: $28 postage paid. I figure $3-4 for postage, which leaves $24 for 3 Mosaic cds. Even if the box is rough at the edges, that's $8/cd! I'm keeping it if it doesn't sell. Music is good, but I have my eye on some grease.
  7. I'm taking all the crap that Wes used to take regarding selection of beer. Hey Wes! I'm feelin' your pain!
  8. Shawn stepped up to the plate?
  9. only $30 postage paid! Box is frayed at the edges. Book and cds are in great shape. peepal is best.
  10. That's a damned nice set. I love this music. Somebody....where's SS? Wes? BF?
  11. Excellent pics, Mark. I like the one of Randy especially.
  12. T.O is a risk, but so is Vanderjagt. For one thing, he sucks in kickoffs, so an extra kicker is needed on the roster to perform that task. Who wants to waste two roster spots on kickers? That's one reason why the Patriots didn't chase him.
  13. Got your pm. Sent one back. Happy it goes to someone I've bought from in the past.
  14. Hmm, no takers yet. I'll lower the price to $42 with postage paid. That's $5/cd plus I pay the postage!
  15. I'll start buyng my new cds from CD Universe. I have bought from them in the past.
  16. Actually, after checking my printed sources, it is the tree of "forgetfullness," not gate... Must have one of those trees in my backyard.
  17. I buy from The Bastards quite a bit. I'm willing to start buying from Amazon if it would help the board. Lately, I haven't been buying anything.
  18. We're taking a heavy hit this free agency for sure. This cannot be denied. Of course, you can look at all the losses individually, and realize that Belichick and company had likely decided ahead of time to let these people go. Willie Mac is 34. Adam V. is 33, and may not be as great of a clutch player as he had been. David Givens is in his prime, but they never had any intention of paying the huge salary he was likely to get in free agency. The other losses so far represent bench players or special teamers. On the other hand, starting right guard, Stephen Neal hasn't yet been signed by anybody. Pats should make some kind of a move to keep him. The local pundits are claiming that the Patriot head brass pretty much expected the above losses. On the other hand, they were clearly outmaneuvered by the Steelers when Deshea Townsend re-signed with Pittsburgh. NE was clearly targetting him. They were probably also surprised in losing Adam V, though he's just a kicker and has likely seen his best days. It hurts in the sense that they have to fill a kicker void. I think they are more bothered by that than the fact that they lost Adam to bigger money. In the end, though this is looking like a bad free agency for them, final judgement will be cast once it is over; for again, they've got $20 million still to spend; and many teams will be releasing more players at training camp.
  19. Portugese built that, I think. Must be horrific inside. Whichever country held the assiento thereafter took over the use of the castle. For the most part, Europeans weren't allowed into the interior, so that castle served as a kind of evil embassy of sorts. There is also a gate of "forgetfullness" or something of that nature. The departing slaves (according to today's tourist gab) were marched under the gate in order to irrevokably leave all memories behind.
  20. Adam V. leaves Pats to go to the ENEMY! This dude better age fast! He'll screw up all his kicks since there's no snow blowing. (Are the Patriots ever gonna spend any of that $20 million cap room? ) I figured a week ago that they were waiting for Eric Moulds. Seems risky to wait for a player or two. Too much damned competition in free agency.
  21. This is nuts. Definitely a drastic solution, but I'm sure we've all considered it from time to time. SS is planning a variant of it. He feels Iron Mike badly needs a victory, so he plans to enter the ring with him at Caesar's Palace. Not only is he likely to lose all his teeth (no mouthpiece is planned at this time), but he's likely to have a few $ left over for the casinos.
  22. If I were going, I would definitely want to visit the slave factory/castle of Elmina.
