I have never placed a bet on sports. Don't plan to either.

First week in the NFL is always full of upsets. Also, there will be surprise teams as the season goes along. No one really knows what's what for the first 4-6 weeks. Pats looked pretty good in their win, but their main competition looks tough (Indy and Pittsburgh), and I think the rest of the NFL has narrowed the gap considerably. I don't think they'll repeat this year, but I'm going to assume that they will anyway, just to maintain the faith.

No need to give me credit. I didn't post it. Damn, I'm still pissed though. Looks like everyone picked a team for every game except me. It was just an oversight on my part. I never noticed that my pick was missing from the list. I was following my master list on a sheet of paper at home. Hey, it's all for fun. I'm not getting worked up about this stuff. I'll probably bomb next week.
