  1. Week 5 picks are in. I wanted an early jump on the Monday Night points...
  2. Did you buy it from him through the forum, Dmitry, or was it purchased elsewhere?
  3. I was also disappointed with this cd. I don't even have it anymore. I think I sold or traded it away. Reuben has done much better things.
  4. I don't recognize the guy, Dmitry, but keep us posted. You have reason to get worried after so much time has passed. There is no room on this forum for cheaters. Let's hope he isn't one.
  5. AB, Nojjy and I are 10-4 for the week. Who won the tiebreaker? Ed missed Monday night and ended up with 9-5. Didn't count the others.
  6. i felt like i had jumped back 5 years and i was watching dick lebau's bengals. ouch. i the loss was painful, but watching dillon score and gloat was even worse. i love chad, but i think his jokes might finally be working against him. Well take heart over the fact that the Pats looked like chumps the previous week, losing to Denver at home. They come back the following week to declare themselves as an elite team. Cincy can do the same. It's too early in the season to know the definitive favorites and likely losers. Well, we know some of them, but the picture will clarify as the season progresses.
  7. Pats came out and dominated the undefeated Bengals at home. I went to a sports bar to watch it. Everyone was cheering for the Browns on a nearby TV, and were cheering Carson Palmer's every move as well. I just clapped my hands on every good Patriot play and yelled out, "Marooooooony!" Damn, we dominated an excellent football team. As Brady continues to get used to his new wide outs, and the two-headed running monster of Maroney and Dillon continue to gain yards, we'll be one of the favorites by playoffs. Who was it that said the Patriots were weak this year? Was it SS1?
  8. Maybe not so welcome. He knows his picks!
  9. Up. Reduced to $10 postage paid to US addresses.
  10. $12 postage paid to USA. Excellent condition w/obi.
  11. I would have said either "throw out" or "offer up"!!! I've never been good with prepositions. Always had trouble finding the right ones.
  12. The one I really felt was the Browns' two point loss to Baltimore. Browns outplay them all game then screw it up in the end. Dats da Browns! grrrrr
  13. I suppose people offer these things on ebay because the upside on the pricing is limitless. On the other hand, something like what happened to Dmitry is also possible. You take your chances, you take your lumps, I guess.
  14. Want to throw up this idea. It seems that there are more and more posts devoted to ebay auctions in this section. I've always maintained that we've all got our ebay search engines and don't really need to see these messages. Nevertheless, they are gaining in popularity. Here's a suggestion: can we subdivide the offering/looking for section into 1. offerings to Organissimo posters and 2. ebay auction reminders? That way, I wouldn't waste my time reading the ebay stuff. Many of the ebay reminders don't give the hint in the subject title, and I read them and say, "aw shucks, nothing special for us members. It's open to the whole world....who cares?" I hope no one gets offended by this suggestion. Go ahead and point out your ebay auctions. I would just like to see a separate subcategory for them, that's all.
  15. Wow! Just noticed the auction. That was a low price indeed, Dmitry. Now if you had just offered it for sale at your price on Organissimo, you wouldn't have this problem. Personally, I don't understand why people offer things on ebay without trying to sell them on the board first. To me, ebay is a big hassle. I guess I can understand it for Mosaics, but the box set Dmitry was offering usually doesn't fetch high prices. I maintain you could have gotten what you wanted by offering it here. Anyway, good luck. Hope things work out.
  16. Picks for week 3 (before the games start) BUFFALO DETROIT WASHINGTON INDIANAPOLIS MIAMI MINNESOTA CINCINNATI TAMPA BAY CLEVELAND (First big upset pick) ARIZONA PHILADELPHIA SEATTLE NEW ENGLAND NEW ORLEANS (Second big upset pick) 44 points
  17. You guys are right, but sometimes testosterone kicks in, and you just have to confront these guys. I would have faced them as well. Good thing I've got a ton of life insurance....
  18. I think I remember the guy Clem mentions at Schoolkids as well. It may interest a few of us to know that Schoolkids still exists on State Street in Ann Arbor. He's got a downstairs location, accessible from another store. Sells mostly new stuff, off labels and such.
  19. my bad! (Conn must have a kidney stone in his brain)
  20. Nojjy: Carolina is at Minnesota. You hedging your bet or something?
  21. I'll kindly wait for Scott Yanow's review first, Allen.
  22. Well said! It applied to me as well, and probably still applies to me. I was thinking that perhaps some of our members who have been in the business a long time and know just about everything about jazz find Yanow's reviews offensive, perhaps because his target audience may be people such as Montg and myself. I've always enjoyed Yanow's reviews. My only complaint, which I have expressed several times before is that he is too tough on organ dates. We dig greazzzzzzzzy stuff around here!
  23. Yes. Both discs have this lineup: Vince Guaraldi - piano Eddie Duran - guitar Dean Reilly - bass Sent pm to Big Al.
