  3. I'm just thinking that maybe it's a good thing my ex wasn't into computers...
  4. Good lord...it's worse than I thought!
  5. Exactly. If I have to be accurate, I'll never mention Brotzmann again...
  6. As a new arrival to "coyote country", I've got to ask: why do they look so cool on TV and so damned ugly in real life???
  7. Agent Starling Hannibal Lecter Buffalo Bill
  8. Damn. Everyone's having fun, and the only jazz fan I've met around here says his favorite is "Boney M", whatever that is...

  14. Wow. Thanks for bumping this. It's strange how much of a community this place has become (at least for me), with people coming and going. It sure feels strange to miss someone you've never even met...
  15. Okay, I will definitely never call one of those lines...the thought of getting Dan on the line pretending to be Fifi, the French maid I expected is just too much to deal with!
  16. Irving Friar Irv Cross Earvin Johnson
  17. So what if you already have a car, but don't have a goat?
  18. All I know is that this thread is useless without the word "zonk"...
  19. I as well have been very happy with my ebay experiences as a buyer. I can only think of two that weren't 100%, and in one case it was resolved amiably. Selling has been a different story, but even there I have very few complaints.
  20. Damn; late again!
  21. Billy Ocean Johnny River Mimi Pond
  22. Well, it can always be moved if a vicious fight breaks out between the pro- and anti- drunk driving factions...
  23. That may be true. All I know is that when I lived in Louisiana, where a HUGE porportion of the population is armed, the crime of "home invasion" was unkown. Yes, accidents are a problem, and frankly, I think people who are so careless with their guns as to allow untrained kids access should be punished accordingly. But crime? I hate trotting out the old cliches, but criminals aren't actually going to say "darn, we have to turn in our guns now" if they are outlawed, are they? (For honesty's sake, I should point out that, while in past discussions on this board about gun control I made note of the fact that I didn't own a gun; that is no longer the case as I own a 9mm handgun. Only take it out to go to the pistol range. I can't say it would do me any good for self defense since, if anyone broke in, I'd have to find the key to the safe, figure out the combination, load the damn thing and THEN tell the robber "okay; I'm ready now" before it would help. Just have it because I tried target shooting and liked it. Oh, and to shoot gun control advocates, of course...)
