  3. 72 and partly cloudy today. It has been colder at nights, and actually 72 is colder as well. It's a relief from the 90+ we had on Thanksgiving Day...

  14. Sounds like sales BS to me, Dan. I remember seeing houses well over twenty years old with stucco in California with no cracks. But then I remember seeing apartment houses with stucco that did have cracks. I'll be the answer lies in jlhoots "applied correctly' comment.
  15. I use the poor man's friend, the TracFone (which I recently found out is owned by *ta-da* T-Mobile). The per-minute rate is awful, but since I rarely use it, I could care less. I'm just not a 'gab on the phone' person; I'm more of an "I'm on my way; bye" person. So it just makes sense to me. Although, I must admit, the idea of getting a phone that doubles as an MP3 player has started to appeal....
  16. What a beautiful, beautiful cat. All I can offer is my sympathy, and my knowledge that eventually, the good memories of Shadow will replace the loss and turn the grief into warmth.
  17. I have to agree. But not about Sell Out being overrated.
  18. So you would go along with my theory that the entire universe might be a bit too large?
  19. Exactly. The idea that the problems of observation, uncertainly, etc. translate directly from the atomic level to the universe level is as goofy as (forgive me, unnamed poster) a certain posters assertion that the second law of thermodynamics proves that evolution doesn't exist. It's taking a scientific idea from one situation and applying it to a situation where it has no bearing.
  20. That's me. I just use a Trac Phone. As expensive as the minutes are, I still come out ahead, because there aren't any $10.00 100 minute plans out there...
  21. Just for the record, I am the real Gertrude Futz.
  22. I think the Kinks pretty much blew everyone away, so I have to agree.
  23. What a pile of shit. The article, I mean. I've seen better science writing from junior high school students. You know, the dumb ones.
